Well it is 16pts and 1 SWC cheaper than the Domaru, that has to count for something surely? Plus, number 2 isn't a bad skill to have in a link, especially if the shock marksman rifle guy is leading some of the fire-fights. (You can field 2 kempetai in a keisotsu link.) The domaru is a lot tougher but no more accurate.
Fuerbach? On the broader topic, I use the Domaru FO quite a bit. It's a really capable unit for a mixed link pushing up the table in Turn 3. The reason I like it over the chain rifle or spitfire is that it's a specialist, and keeps the EM grenades too. It's a very decent all-rounder or closer when you need to break up a tough enemy defense and get an objective.
