New blog entry about Ariadna in the web. Probably all the units mentioned will form the Ariadna Code One roster
My my point of view, code One is in nowhere land. Too complex for new players; simple for infinity veterans, and there is no population playing actively code One, at best just 5 to ten matches before jumping to N4. If you have to include the Antipodes, smoke and a few extra game mechanic you have an N4 without fireteam. It was a good idea but it's execution is not of my liking. Cheers
It’s possible to just make Antipodes an AVA 3 and just make them individual units and do away with the syncing rules for C1. You wouldn’t have to give the other units smoke.
Can we assume that the unit descriptions recently posted on the infinity blog will be the code one army lists? nvm. I see this has been discussed already.
And today "nomad list" was posted. Still dont know why the warbands appear... Irregular and impetuous dont exist in Code One, right?
Looking forward to this new box. After the rules changes in N4, I think I'm more inclined to go to C1. Hopefully they don't take another year to do another C1 box. I feel like they should just get all the factions out to maybe entice more people to play.
There are other units in C1 that are Irregular in N4 but are made regular in C1. So I would anticipate units like the Irmadhino to be impetuous and regular.
As a new player coming into Infinity I would disagree with this, there are a number of us locally getting in via Code One as its complex enough to make it interesting but not over bearing like N4 comes across to a lot of new players. Discussion among us is we might move up to N4 but some staying C1 and those that are moving up can see C1 as a good game when want a faster more casual game of Infinity.
I don’t know if I’d consider myself a “veteran” player yet, but there is something I really appreciate about C1. I have collected far more minis than I will ever reasonably be able to use on a regular basis. I have found C1 to be a great place to just “try out” armies/units I would probably not otherwise get a chance to use. I’ve really enjoyed that component on the game.
