    I won't do a complete battle report here. Just highlights.l

    1st off. The Rui Shi in a link is Sick! :mask: in a good way! I don't know what they were thinking of putting that one in a link in a force with a lot of smoke! I used Gromoz to put Assisted Fire on it and then used McMurder to lay down smoke. So through smoke and no cover for the enemy the Rui shi was hitting on 18s! He took down 3 Batroids and E-Drone like nothing.

    McMurder is of course awesome. I need to learn how to use him a bit better but even a bad player can get something out of him.

    ABH are very cool. Akrylat have stupid good range. Love them so far. I lost one of them in 5-man team at one point. So I moved my Haris team until one of the ABH was in the area and re-formed the link with him!

    2 Libertos from now on! I already liked 1 in Ikari but now I'm always going to take 2. So useful for laying down mines before running at the enemy to make a nuisance of themselves.

    So I had a 3rd game and got rolled by RTF. We agreed on Engineering deck but it was changed at the last moment to Capture and protect. I used the list I had already made which I possibly shouldn’t have but it seemed like it would work.

    Sorry I don’t remember most of it, so here’s some highlights.

    I got first turn and moved up McMurough and now realized I over extended him and he got killed by Naffatun HFT. I need to remember to spec fire more smoke grenades! Withing 8” he’s hitting on 13! Same thing with his regular grenades.

    I wasn’t aggressive enough with the five-man link. And didn’t move up. The terrain was also to his super jump advantage. I should have tried putting some guys on buildings myself or even started with mines on top of them from the liberto. I needed the Hunz to move up to take the beacon.

    Khawarijs are…wow. Going to be a challenge. Kill them as soon as you can! The Mk12 MSV was brutal with smoke from his Al Faseed. I tried taking out the Al Faseed but just couldn’t. They took out my Rui Shi ☹ then when it was my turn I pulled up a ABH and reformed the link to maintain the 5-man.

    Having the 5-man didn’t help much however when Tarik came around and just took them apart one by one.

    Things I liked though were the Duo of Rafiq and Bounty Hunter. Something about it was pretty good. They didn't do a spectacular job or anything but I thought they complimented each other a bit.

    I'm really liking Duo's. They just make using orders more efficient.

    Tbh I think you'd be worthwhile splitting the McMurrough and the Core Link in separate combat groups. Dashat does really have the opportunity to simply have massive gluts of order as they combine the TA abuse in a core Zuyong link + a Rui Shi and 3x 8 point Flash Pulse Sniffers + Ultra Instinct McMurrough. McMurrough in particular synergizes so well as you've done with the old but gold MSV2 smoke trick, but you really don't want the dog and the core Rui Shi Link sharing orders.

    As such, made some small adjustments to your list while trying to keep the core elements of it, being Ultra Instinct McMurrough, the Core Zuyong + Rui Shi with VG + 2x Libertos Minelayer + Mimetism (which is also a change, but 1 point for mimetism is g-r-o-t-e-s-q-u-e). By no means is this a finalized list - just something we've been bashing around with and having success with. A Group 2 core 7 order specialist heavy HI+MSV2 link + McMurrough + Bashi + Midfield control with Flash pulse sniffers in Group 1 is both hard hitting and order efficient.

    That's risky with only the "7" regular order in the second group cause you haven't the command token to shuffle enough order into group two.


    And you can use McMurder in the first turn and when he dies you can move one model into group one.

    Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have the minis for some of those. I definately like McMurder in a group with lots of orders. he's going to be a big part and most likely to die. Even when I loose him the group still has plenty of orders.

    I should mention that did go first. so I had plenty of orders. I just need to learn to use them better.
