The auxbot fix is simple, keep them at 4 points but add a profile similar to palbots that can become peripheral to ANY model.
I’m loving this idea. It’d add extra flexibility to units that have the tin bots and provide the teams they’re a part of extra bonuses. You’re not the only one. In days past (read N3 here) I marvelled at Atlantas ability to outshoot anyone with the aid of her bunny bot. Now it grants her a bonus to discover but the idea is there. Use the tin bots to grant a unique bonus to its user and a team that the user joins. Points would need to be adjusted accordingly but it’s a damn nice idea. May have to play test it over the holidays… Agreed. You’re almost seeing this in Varuna just not to the degree stated here (patsy garnett is who I’m thinking of but even she has her limits). I’d love more tactical officer types for ORC troops, would give them more personality and tie in to their roles in the backstory even more and, as you said, remove the “boring” aspects of these HI. Gotta say though, that ice storm ORC with multi rifle has been one lucky mini for me, boring profile or not, lol. Indeed. Gotta thank the people above involved in this discussion so far. Very interesting ideas here that I’m going to see if my player group would like to test out during the holidays.
Also: - Better characters - Fireteam freedom I’m working on a full compilation of prior mentioned changes to the faction and sectorial’s. Once I’m back up off sickness I’ll finish it and create a new discussion so we can further the open debate. And of course the brainstorming is mature, we are all here because of our love for the game, nothing else. I’m glad we are already getting interest to playtest. All I want for Christmas is SWF to get access to a Light TAG. Either one of the existing ones like the Seraph or a new profile focused on in close brawling with say a Heavy Shotgun
Sure, give it a Heavy shotgun +1b, and a blitzen/panzerfaust/flamenspeer. Throw in veteran or something and youve got a really nice little profile. Though just the loadout change would be sufficient.
Tbh as it a Im very keen to run the Triphammer in a vanilla list alongside a MHMG TAG. Just gotta wait on that Minescorp Mini
