Unconfirmed sources claim it was, in fact, a double, with the real Emperor having been erased both in mind, body and identity (Cube included) inside YJ's Home System during the Uprising events, a claim supported by the brief and sparse public presence since all this time, and the growing amount of responsabilities taken over by the, until now, heir apparent. Official sources within O12 declined to make any comments, while Arachne's Free Forums are in a frenzy of posting with different possibilities, with the most populars being about the mythic Aleph Assassins, and not JSA's own troops (chosing this course of action instead of capture), being the true responsibles for this supposed dissapearance. Doesn't surprise me, the Heisei emperor was not a young man (he was born in 1933!). And it's a lot of work being the ceremonial Head of State. Not that the new emperor is very young (Reiwa emperor was born in 1960), but it's better than being 85yo and trying to do all the ceremonial stuff!
