In that case it would work a bit better, but still, in the first order count KR would be exposed (for her impetuous order). And from that point it's open season!

The Major has TO camo and hacks everything, ergo is a Ninja Hacker w AHD. And is not the LT for battlefield purposes.

Thanks for the input guys. I need to see some lists to get my footing with the faction.
I noticed that are a lot of keisotsu links filling in as order batteries, which is what i thought would be the case in 12-14 order lists.
Why no love for the bikers? I thought they would be an auto include because to my mind a spitfire on a bike platform is our sniper killer. They can move into good range fast. Also, the KHD is a fast button pusher especially on missions with an exclusion zone.

    De nada.
In case you dislike Keisotsus you can take 8 points REMs to generate orders.
Aragotos are not bad at hitting and running. Several JSA players claim to have good results with 4 Aragoto lists fielding an AHD a Spitfire and two others and running them upfields in a killing spree. (I always got mines slaughtered on a short notice but probably that's my trouble.)
I own the old Asuka model and it looks gorgeous. There is no way I declare the Ninja (nice model but not nearly as beautiful as Asuka) Motoko. Aestetics beats reason always and forever.

Considering how tough she is, i'd lean more towards a Hac Tao AHD w/ super jump + climbing plus

    Np!
Kesotsus are nice as cheap order monkeys, with a full 5 men bonuses they can do something but with only BS10 and no other bonus to help win gunfights they aren't the best line infantry. Which is great is that hey can link with Kempetais and Domarus so you can keep the 5 men bonuses if you plan your list before.
Bikers depend a lot of what you are facing, as fast specialists they are decent, or for rushing the midfield; but they are often feast or famine.
I wouldn't rely on a bike to kill a good entrenched sniper tho, they will be hitting you in +3 range while you would be at -3 or -6, you can't get cover and he will be most likely on it; and if that sniper have any other visual mod (mimetism, ODD..., then it's an automatic failure for the BS12 of the bikers in the -6 range and even in the -3 with ODD/TO). If you can flank them into your spitfire +3 range and no cover then you might have a chance.

Bikes are alright and a few players have gotten really great results with them. I don't usually take them though except in missions with lots of buttons (Tic-Tac-Toe, Comms Center) and those missions usually aren't taken as seriously anyway.

Yeah, she should be pretty tough, there's nothing in the game that is really as tough as the Major is demonstrated to be. At least 2W+NWI, actual ARM stat may not be that high.

The challenge is finding something in the game with TO camo and a hacking device of some flavor.

A character like her would be TAG level of threat and points... This would be my OP profile for her:
    Mov 15-10, CC 23, BS 14, Vol 15, PH 15, ARM 3, BTS 6, STR3 (HI), S2, A1
G:Cyberbrain*, TO, Infiltration, Super-Jump, Climbing-Plus, Multiterrain, Kinematica 3, Hyper-Dinamics 3, NCO, Chain of Command, Fireteam:Haris, Sixth Sense 1, Veteran. Total Inmunity, Marksmanship 2, Fatality 2, Natural Born Warrior, MA2, Operative Specialist, Forward Observer, Deflector 1, Sensor.
Visor-X, MVL2, AHD + WHD (upgrade: Lightning Maestro), Deployable Repeater.

Nanopulser, Boarding Shotgun, MULTI Rifle, E/M and Smoke Grenades,
2 Assault Pistols, Stun Pistol, AP CCW, EXP CCW, knife

    Also Booty... for fluff reasons.
How much would be that in points? I'd say around 110-130.

*G:Cyberbrain: Tailored version of G:Remote presence (Courage, 2 levels of uncons, Eng test may reroll...) for her with some extra fluff:
    • G:Cyberbrain isn't vulnerable to Goodnight.
    • This is equivalent to a Cube for Back up purposes.
    • In Unconscious 1, she still gives her order to the order pull
    • In Unconscious 1, she can't use any skill with the "movement" label except Activate, Idle, Discover and Move. Move become an entire order that uses her second MOV value).
    • In Unconscious 1, she have to apply a MOD of -3 to the relevant attribute in any roll; in any attack roll she also reduces the B in 1 (to a minimum of 1.
    • In Unconscious 1, she may not declare any ARO with the movement tag.

EDIT: Motoko 2.0 version, a bit downgraded

    Mov 15-10, CC 22, BS 15, Vol 14 PH 15, ARM 3, BTS 6, STR2 (HI), S2, A1
    G:Cyberbrain*, CH:TO Camuflaje, Infiltration, Super-Jump, Climbing-Plus, Multiterrain, Kinematica 1, Veteran 2, Total Immunity (Vulnerability: E/M, E/M2, Fire), MA3, Operative Specialist, Sensor.
Visor-X, MVL2, AHD + WHD (upgrade: Lightning Maestro).

Nanopulser, Multi Marksman Rifle, Pitcher, E/M and Smoke Grenades,
Assault Pistol, Stun Pistol, DA CCW, knife

G:Cyberbrain* (same rules than a cube except it let engineers reroll failed rolls when reparing her)

So I am brand new to game, 4 weeks of games. There was a nearby ITS event within 4 hours. Me and my buddy decided to just bite the bullet and go play. We had no idea we would learn so much from some talented competitive players and we are grateful for the welcoming community of Infinity. I bought several Yu Jing models 3 years ago and played a some of the starter missions but quickly forgot everything with no new games. When we decided to get back into it I couldn't find my Japanese inspired troops in the army builder? Low and behold I find they have their own separate faction JSA. With no time to buy, build and paint I hoped using Inifinity proxy minis would be ok and everyone was cool at the tournament. I liked the sneaky side of the ninjas and CC for shoot heavy game. I made a few list and play tested it a few times with my local players and it played surprisingly well. Then I went to ITS tournament and felt lucky to earn one win (almost got a second on in my final game that came down to a dice roll) of five as players were a lot more savvy to my tactics.

ITS Missions: Annihilation, Engineering Deck, Frontline, Power Pack and Armory
Basic Strategy going into ITS with this list was pick deployment (go second) target (forward observe) high value troops or exposed link team and drop 5 missiles on them in round 1. Survive round 2, achieve classified and drop multi scanner. Round 3 ninjas jump out and clear areas or push buttons to close game. It was fun handing someone a courtesy list that mostly blank.

In summary it was a fun list but ninjas were glass cannons and could not hold objective areas if enemy went second. Everything was so order hungry to play CC properly. I also felt out gunned in most gun battles. So having learned a few tricks I decided to come back and revise my strategy to what JSA does well and cut back on CC and some ninjas. Here is my revised strategy with some sneaky (Ninja & Ryoken), firepower and tougher units (KaraKuri) and hold objectives like center room or consoles with mines and smoke. I also wanted to try smoke and MultiSpectral Visor 2 units like Kempei and Rui Shi. Playing this weekend to test list and wanted any tips.

Unfortunately, you need the "Haris" Domaru in the team with the two Karakuries. This leaves you with the problem of finding a LT. But you could easily use the SWC to take a Keisotsu which does free some points if you don't want to use the CoC Kempei.

I like that list in general. The Karakuries are strong and you have some nice utility in there too.

I thought that Oyama would count as Domaru until he became Fury Impetuous?

He counts as a Domaru yes but the Karakuri special Haris specifically calls out for the Domaru Haris profile, not just any Domaru. Don't worry, you are not the first to have done that misstake.
Also even if he becomes Impetuous due to Fury it won't matter as Impetuous is ignored as long as you are part of a Fire team.

I've never used Yojimbo and my thoughts are to dismount him to slow him down and use as a mobile smoke generator. I've revised list and I really want to keep CoC Kempei as I found myself in loss of Lt in one round every game.

You still have the wrong Domaru for that Fireteam Haris in group 1. You need the one that actually says "Haris" in its profile.

As for the Kempei, he's going to be in basically the same place as your Keisotsu lt. For the price, you are better off getting two more Keisotsu you can use as decoys, it should have pretty much the same impact. As it is now, the Keisotsu is a very obvious lt anyway, so the Kempei is not offering much protection since he's near him.

That full ninja list is hilarious XD, but It doesn't seem efficient tho; with so many TOs you will lack orders.

I have 3 lists with Karakukis, check them:
First one with Smoke MSV2 trick, second without it but with 2 Ryukens ODD, third with an O-Yoroi. The list 1 and 2 have CoC, the last one doesn't

Yeah the ninja list was a lot of fun and got some very funny looks.

I'm going to dig into your list tonight and appreciate the input.

@meikyoushisui I see the Domaru Haris now. Thanks.

The first two lists are going to suffer a lot with order allocation. If you go first with either, you're going to end up with only 5-6 orders available in your primary group. The other allocation issue you'll encounter is what to spend orders on in group 2 for both lists. In the first list, once Yojimbo dies there isn't a lot to do with the second group, and in the second list, you're relying on manuevering a 5-man team if you want to do stuff with group 2. In general with the Karakuri haris, I would group them with all of the Keisotsu linkables and maybe one more specialist in group 1, and then dump the rest of your stuff in group 2.

I like the third list though it's a bit light on SWC (and has an obvious lt who is already a big target due to being a TAG).

The 6 orders when you start is true, but you also have good attack pieces in both groups (with the Core you just have to be careful with templates). It could be grouped as you suggest also, it depend on player I guess.
The second list SWC also bugged me a bit but after including Haris, TAG and engineer it was hard to find something to fill it.
What about this one changing the list a bit:

This is how I build my lists, this specific list was made for a Paradiso campaign mission which had a bonus to EVO hackers and limited need to specialist. (Paradiso 0401 for those that cares).
Btw the reason the spec-ops has 0 xp is that I have spent all my xp maxing out the Immediate Deployment Spec tree. First turn and deploy second is just too good a bonus for JSA to not take IMHO :)

Group 1 has a defensive Keisotsu link, the ML should be the only one standing for AROs, the rest are an order battery fueling 2 active pieces, Rui Shi and Yojimbo. This is one of the areas where I do things differently than most people here, I consider Yojimbo to be an active attack piece that should have access to lots of orders. He can often get into the enemy DZ and start killing things using less orders than an infiltrating Oniwaban and if he can just take out a single unit he has often traded favorably.
This is the first time I have taken Saito since he lost access to Specialist Operative. I needed something with Antimaterial CC and I could have taken another Ninja but I had some points to spare and though the extra smoke grenade to support the Rui Shi could be useful. In the end he turned into an active piece getting 3 CC kills including Perseus but he was more of a backup in that position after Yojimbo. In most cases he would probably be an Oniwaban instead or possibly another Ninja if needed for objectives.

Group 2 has most of the support pieces. The EVO hacker is for the mission bonuses, in normal cases it would have been a Keisotsu hacker instead to boost the Rui Shi. 3x SMG Ryuken than you can put into Suppressive Fire with a single order is very efficient and difficult for the opponent to get past, in general this is where I will spend most of my command tokens, doing coordinated orders with the Ryuken, either moving them around or placing them into Suppresive Fire. Normally I don't take a doctor because I mostly consider it a waste of orders but I felt I was a bit low on specialists. If you do take one make sure to place it in group 2 so it doesn't have to spend valuable group one orders to heal things. The Ninja is a very flexible piece, button pusher, killer, whatever is needed. Unless I have more than 1 (which I usually don't but it happens) I always place the ninja in group 2. He is often there to do a last turn button push and will sit in hidden deployment until then which means you can't have him eat up valuable orders for group one.

    15 Regular orders, 2 irregular, 1 impetuous.
8 Regular orders for group 1 which can be reduced to 6 turn one can seem a bit low until you remember that Yojimbo is an active attack piece which comes with his own 2 orders and you are back up to 8 again.

Now I'm definitively not the greatest player out there, you won't see me winning the Interplanetario anytime soon but I have now played JSA almost exclusively (got 2 games with Ikari Company) for almost a year so I do think I am getting a hang on how to build lists at least and hopefully this insight to how I think about can be useful for you.
