What is a BS Weapon? It's not defined anywhere. The working definition is a Weapon that performs BS Attacks. This fits with all known interactions.
No, because Forward Observer is a Special Skill, not a BS Weapon. That doesn't stop Flash Pulse being a BS Weapon. Yes. It's listed as a BS Weapon, it doesn't have it's own Skill, it's also a weapon used by declaring the BS Attack Common Skill.
But in contrary to "normal" BS Weapons is not (explicitly) written that's a BS weapon. It is a weapon (like a knife). It is used to perform BS attack (like Forward Obserwer for example). There is unfortunetaly nothing which says that a "BS weapon is a weapon which is used to perform BS attacks". Unless I'm missing an definition somewhere ;P
You're inadvertently claiming that Akrylate-kanone, Blitzen, D.E.P., etc also aren't BS Weapons. Unlike Jammer, those three barely even claims to be a weapon (Jammer says it's a "technical weapon")

Technically Forward Observer is a BS weapon too, which makes the FAQ ruling calling it out somewhat nonsensical.

The use of Forward Observer is a form of Attack with a BS Weapon that uses the WIP attribute, and instead of forcing the target to make an ARM Roll, forces him to enter the Targeted state. Oh boy, apparently we didn't sacrificed enough Bothan spies polish Warcors to get CB read their own rules.
I'm running a tournament tomorrow and I've just check the (22) lists and I saw this bullshit of holo 1 Wip 15 jammer with +3 B2 -_- and for Varuna also without the holo ! seriously WTF ? WIP 18 B2 without LoS isolated state !!! I mean ok for Bahram, it's a weak sectorial but Varuna ?? If I've saw this madness sooner I would have never done a tournament with spec ops rules this is just absurd ..
It’s strong, there are other strong combo with Spec Ops. There are counter-plays. People should expect and prepare for it.
