From the new FAQ: "Do MediKits, Forward Observer, Discover, Deactivators and Minesweepers get the Burst Support Bonus granted by a Fireteam? Can they be used with Triangulated Fire? No, because they are Skills or items of Equipment" Erm, BS Attack is a skill? Also, did FO and / or Triangulated really need to become more marginal?

The skills and equipment listed are (were?) not intended to get the bonus. They are the only cases. Before someone ask it... The Medjector works as a Medikit, so no bonus!
It's pretty weird with FO tho. And I'm not sure they've fully thought through either the ruling or the explanation in that case. Like, what about the +3 MOD for 5 member teams that explicitly calls out working for WIP BS Attacks? "In the Active Turn, the Team Leader gains a +3 MOD to the Attribute used to perform BS Attack Rolls (either BS, PH or WIP), and a +3 WIP MOD to Discover Rolls." It's a direct contradiction of the rules in both cases, yet only references one.
Nope. Technical Weapons are BS weapons that use WIP attribute. And get the bonus. Like the Flash Pulse.
Correct. Except Forward Observer is a Technical Weapon and explicitly called out as not getting the Fireteam +1 Burst this FAQ. Which is what (and why) I'm pointing it out as weird, and contradictory.
FO is a skill that allows the user to make a form of attack with a BS weapon, but it is not a weapon, so it does not get the burst bonus A flash pulse is a weapon, so it gets the burst bonus Easy peasy
I mean you can say that to try to make it make sense, but it's literally not what either the rule or the FAQ say.
It's the same with mines... Do you pretend to get the B bonus when placing a mine? No, because it is an equipment.
Then why forward observer, deactivator minesweeper and medikit are in the "weapon chart" ? I'm fine if you want to clarify the way you want this "equipment" played. .. Then wisely adjust the weapon chart accordingly.... Mask
Forward observers is a skill that uses a BS weapon, or a skill that is used like a BS weapon but is not a BS weapon ectr ectr ectr. The point is the items listed were never intended to get the bonus, or be used with triangulated fire because they were never considered as weapons by the design team, but the player base considers them and it is cleared now.
