Yea. I'm hopeful that version of ARMY wasn't anywhere close to done. It was kind of a mess. I prefer the current ARMY interface myself. Also a lot of profiles were definitely still in progress.
Considering how much of a mess C1 ARMY was on release, I'll wait for the actual release and THEN for the inevitable update a couple weeks after that before putting too much stock in what's in there
So Domaru are great now. This is a huge change for the army. ~5 point reduction, BS buff, Fatality, CC buff. The only thing I miss is the DA CCW. It looks like Berserk got a nerf (probably needed), and they don't have Assault, but they're 6-2 (though in terms of math, you actually should be MOV+dodging in a bunch of case you would MOV-MOV since there's more than a 50% chance to double your second MOV value). I actually can't remember the last time I was so excited to get a Domaru to the table. Random musing, does MOV+Dodging everywhere defend you from getting hit by a TO reveal after your second Move short skill?
Does Dodge, negate stealth, so if you move into ZoC of a hacker, but you got stealth as your first half of your order, youre good, but then you say dodge as the second half, does that let the hacker know youre there? I may be misunderstanding something admittedly.
yall think this legit? i know take with salt. but being for real the loss of nimbus grenades and these costs for d charges, flash pulse and FD 4"does not seem like a good trade. anyone know if these leaks are legit? The official Domaru compared to this is way batter, I'd easily rather take 2 Domaru, they outclass this easy.
That's what I saw in ARMY, but I don't think it's great. Could have really used a real gun or cost drop.
Wait you saw that in Army? I know there was other crazy stuff like HRMC for 26 points on the locust I think I saw, soooo what are the odds the Shikami is accurate, I think I would have like Nimbus plus more than FD or Flash Pulse and D charges... At least Kuroshi got smoke. regardless of anything else. I know people will take 2-3 Domaru every game now. They are basically really expensive Warbands now, same with the Tanko Light Shotgun. Sitting on a corner.
The locust with hrmc without swc? I think it answers the question itself... Or crane agents without MA. Or a guijia with MA2 and super jump. I don't think that most of the stuff is to be taken serious. It's more some kind of wishlisting. Wait for the official releases and don't go crazy over something that weird. Smoke on kuroshi and aragotos would be glorious! I would be down for that.
It seems much more to me like it's a WIP version with things still broken. The leaked Domaru was identical to the Domaru that was posted today. Guijia with MA2 and Super Jump seems not that far out of the norm -- at least now the Guijia can put those thicc thighs to use
N1 shock immune use to be automatically nested any heavy with power armor (non ariadnan) N3 anything with more than 1 wound or has structures had it nested. edit: DERP thought this still was 1 page
Guijia with super jump would give the guijia at least something. MA2 seems a bit wasted on an HMG platform. Would be better on an blue wolf or something toting a spitfire. I just took a look on some on the profiles that got posted here in the forum and thought, there are some things seriously twisted, unfinished and obviously wrong I just stopped reading and disregarded it as unreliable.
If my math serves me right: The average dodge move aof a domaru will be 2.8"!? So just 0.8" further than his second MOV-value. I don't see this to be the regular choice, exept for avoiding AROs
I think the reason why it looks bad is because you will have to dodge every time in order to make it work. That being said their is literally no downside to declaring dodge every time someone says they have no ARO because it's success or failure does not grant any additional AROs, if you have dice that are truly random or they tend to roll under 14, roll em, you'll average more distance covered and never be caught unaware with your 2nd half of your order as a MOV by accidentally moving into LoF of a hidden deployed troop. Even if it's a Hacker's ZoC you dodge into, better that then move 2 inches and find yourself giving a free Hacking ARO. The only difference between the leak and the Bostria version was the Bostria Version did not have Frenzy. Thicc thighs, yes, thats the visual I need
But there is: you can fail and lose the movement. Yes, you have a decent 70% chance of success, but the average will not materialise in every game/turn. You will move further across many games, but that's not necessarily the goal. Rather, you want to move as much as possible in situations where it matters and that can mean opting for the 100% success on that 2" movement instead, e.g. if you absolutely need to move or don't rely on the extra inches. AROs are, admittedly, a big factor in this, so I can see my guys backflipping a lot despite of the above.
Hey at least you see there's a need. I'd say generally once you get up to FD2 range and you never know where theres gonna be a TO hacker waiting to carbonite your guys while TO sniper is on overwatch of said hacker. I really hope JSA has access to Kunai solutions. The model can easily be used as a regular ninja but I would definitely be someone who occassionally uses them. I can imagine a loadout might get MSV1.
According to the fluff, they won't have access to Kunai solutions. It's a smaller clan and decided to jump into the space left by the bigger clans, after the uprising. Reason why they also work for PanO, is because they pretty much decided screw honour, we go where the money is. Remember that you can only dodge, if you have LoF to an enemy. So you will be stuck with 6-2 movement, if you can't see the enemy.
That's not correct. There are no LOF requirements in CodeOne/N4 Dodge, all you need to do is be able to declare a skill/ARO and win the Dodge roll and you'll be allowed to make the Dodge move. https://infinitythewiki.com/index.php?title=Dodge
