So a long while back I posted this: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/does-the-guts-rule-do-enough.1183/ TLDR : It was me griping that Martial arts / remote presence / valour all contribute to making the Guts roll hardly ever matter. Now that skills are de-nested, I wonder exactly how many profiles weren't gifted courage as the profiles were converted. I noticed that Joan of Arc doesn't have Courage now, which I think is better as Religious is the more interesting rule anyway (even if less tactically advantageous). Previously religious + courage from any source = non interaction. Religious was just a flavour thing with rarely a mechanical impact. Because I've not been keeping up to date with the game's new profiles and am woefully underknowledge on factions outside the 4 core main human ones, has anyone noticed other profiles losing courage in the n4 profile conversion? It could be that the Joan thing is a bug and they didn't actually intend for her to lose it- I hope not though. Thoughts?
It seems like all troops previously benefiting from Religious Troop and Courage at the same time for whatever reason have lost Courage. A quick scan of Yu Jing and PanO didn't reveal any other cases of the skill being removed in those factions.
Joan is not a bug. You shouldn’t be seeing any unit with both Religious and Courage (ignoring Inspiring Leadership, and the Maghariba Guard has already been reported as a bug). Shaolin Monks (and Liang Kai) lost the Courage that they used to have from Martial Arts, while most Warbands with MA lost Stealth instead.
