For that I just drilled a few holes, twisted some wire and glued some polystyrene pieces on his head

I thought a good rendition of a Daemon for a Daemonist to wrangle would be an actual spawn of the Devil (Aleph). The arms will be fitted with some mantis blades, at least that's the plan.

So, you've seen - years ago - my StarCo Riot Boyz (or Grrls, if you prefer), this crew:
They are, of course, originally N2-era, 1st gen. QK Azra'il, back when they were still standard-sized Heavy Infantry models.
And well, I needed to find them a role once N3 dropped in and invalidated the old Azra'il.
They got invalidated again as Riot Grrls once StarCo went the way of the dinosaurs... so I'm starting Dahshat these days :P

Has anyone tried to cut out the rock pedestal from Sombra and reposition her legs in a pose similar to the infamous Mukhtar but much lower? If not, can you give a general advice on how you would do it? ^^

    You mean reposing that:
    into something like that:

    Nope, haven't heard of it.
Defintiely far beyond my skill level. And I believe it would be a very hard job, since you'd have to cut her leg both at the hip (to rotate it) and knee, to separate upper leg and lower leg and then repose them. Since her calf and her thigh are connected in the sculpt, you'd also have to redo both body parts where they were joined.
Oh. And do something with her left arm.

That's what I think about the infamous Mukhtar.

Going for the Mukhtar Hacker pose:
sounds more feasible: cut the left leg at the knee, and repose it for a kneeling position.

I was thinking about having the left arm on the ground, but yeah, still a lot of cutting, left leg from hip, and torso repositioning :/

If you dislike the stone pillar (which I can absolutely understeand, it doesn't sell the model), I'd suggest losing just the pillar, but keeping the pose.
Just put there something more adequate for her to climb onto.

A bigger rock, some kind of a container, a part of a building, a wreck of some kind...

I'm doing this, but by adding stuff onto/around the rock instead of cutting it. The model's pretty delicate, and it will save a lot of work I think.

I have seen people convert that model and giving it the mechanical terrain the boarding shotgun Hellcat is standing on and the Hellcat be freestanding.

Best choice would be to find extra set of legs, cause cutting and reassembling existing ones will rarely look natural. I did it a few times and its pretty easy.
2nd best - get some resin crates/barrels/ammo boxes and try to cover/replace the rock like others mentioned above.
