    Dahshat Company: In-Depth Sectorial Review!

Hi everyone! I've been playing Infinity competitively for 4 years, with Dahshat Company being one of my favorite armies, so I spent a long time preparing for this WIP12 Podcast (in 2 parts) for an in-depth review :)

I start with 14 essential units for the army, to give you an overall sense of Dahshat if you've never encountered them before. Then I move to the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, with high-level concepts and specific examples.

Some topics I cover in detail:

    The Good
    • Camo Spam (with variety)

    • Repeater Network (and reactive hacking)

    • Flexible Links

    • Incredible Irregulars

    • TAG Hunting

    • What We’ve Gained in N4
    The Bad
    • Airy DZ

    • Obvious Lt / No CoC

    • Limited off-table antics

    • Going second
    The Ugly
    • 15 body limit

    • No KHD

    • Core Nerf Per Recent FT Change
I also include a few example lists.

If you play Haqq or YJ already, or love Maggie, Hunzakuts, and/or Libertos, I highly recommend you give this a listen.

Hi there! :) For the betterment of our Dahshat community, I dug up my notes. While I add a lot more detail in the two podcast episodes (especially for the key 14 units), here are the main points :)

    The Good
    • Firstly, Dahshat is essentially what you get from Operation Red Veil :) great use for that box if you started with one side and want to try the other.
    • For people less familiar with Dahshat, let's talk about 14 awesome units for an overall picture of the army:

    1. Liberto
    2. Valerya
    3. Rui Shi
    4. Zuyong
    5. Hunzakut
    6. Saito
    7. McMurder
    8. Maggie
    9. Ghulam
    10. Kum Biker
    11. Digger
    12. Bounty Hunter
    13. Zhencha
    14. Fiddler

    • Camo Spam (with variety)

      • Can actually hide its libertos

      • Very strong shell game

      • HI, hacker, mines in mass, deploy repeaters, specialists, cc monster = big variety of threats hiding under the camo

      • Ariadna has more camo for sure, but they have decoy and similar profiles.

    • Repeater Network (and reactive hacking)

      • One of the best GML factions in the game

      • Hunza + 3 flash + Rui Shi + WC Valerya with her pitcher = easy access across the table

      • Ghulam link gives you affordable wip 14 spotlights

      • Tinbot B with Valerya is v strong

      • No KHD (see later) means you are less about active turn battles vs other hackers, more about covering the table and throwing spotlights and oblivion

    • Flexible Links

      • 2nd only to tohaa in diversity

      • Upper tier for # of WC in the game

      • New WC digger (ava 2)

    • Incredible Irregulars

      • Like Haqq, you find yourself stretched for regular orders if you indulge too much

    • TAG Hunter

      • Valerya with total control +1B total control

      • With extensive repeater web

      • Saito lurking

      • McM

    • What We’ve Gained in N4

      • Fiddler - nice addition, compliments Dahshat’s big REM presence

      • Diggers - Airy DZ is a key weakness of Dahshat's to exploit, so diggers = v valuable

        • Also wildcard linkables makes them crazy good

        • Roll the +4 armor, plus being able to claim cover = 10 armor

    The Bad

    • Airy DZ

      • Makes it hard to guard these Lts or McM or fat REM too

      • Camo markers don't want to ARO unless they have to

      • Zuyong hmg or Rui shi or McM are vuln / bad AROs and want to null deploy

      • I always say, yes, we have two liberto, but they have so much pressure on their shoulders defending the DZ
    • Obvious Lt - Tied with ikari for obvious Lt, esp in N4 where we reveal our wip target before deploy

      • Always brawler (12), zuyong (13), or Ghulam (14), and those profiles are obvious

      • Bonus round: my fave Lts:

        • 15 pt Ghulam +1 CT

          • With a second Ghulam
        • Zuyong hmg w/ regen
    • No CoC

    • Limited off-table antics
      • No CJ, 1 low power parachute / holo (Bashi)
    • Going second - Per the above, Dahshat is vuln when they go second. Really an army that wants to come at you fast

    The Ugly

    • Dahshat, CHA, and Haqq were hit hardest by the 15 unit limit at start of N4

      • I'd cite this rule as the key reason you've never seen much Dahshat, if at all, at any major or minor event, despite all the army had to offer.

      • Less Irregulars - Our wide access to low cost irregulars that can trade up now aren't as easy to include

      • Balance of Reg/Irreg Orders - This also means we can’t include a better balance of regular and irregular orders

        • Before we could leverage the 3x Flash Bot + 2 Baggage in every list to compensate for leaning hard on Irregulars

        • For example, many of my lists these days are 5-6 regular orders per group, which takes practice to be comfortable with going wide, and knowing when to burn command tokens, vs waiting until the next turn
    • No KHD
      • Means against other hackers, you're mostly just disabling them rather than being able to outright kill them.

      • GML being the exception ;]

    • Core Nerf Per Recent FT Change:

      • *recent emphasis on pure links really hurt Dahshat's wildcard identity

      • this is the army with ava 4 WC bounty hunters, so having them fuel you cheaply to core power means way less now.

      • Ie the old brawler msv2 sniper/zuyong hmg + 4 bh build from n3 not as effective.

      • Also reduces Rui shi core, though tbh that link was a trap to begin with (scarier as solo piece or Haris)
