The Techbee is my go to, Irregular orders don't prevent syncing it and it's a specialist so you want it up the board anyways. Warcor is slightly less good at it since it isn't a specialist but 3-5 points for your Xenotech order seems good to me.
@Teslarod you should check the ITS part of the forum. HellLois said that Xenotechs don't grant ARO anymore.
Auxilia actually sounds like a good idea. I was thinking humble Fusilier myself. Xenotech is far from the priority target, it's more of a nuisance if you lose it and you can always grab him with another unit. Auxilia or CSU sounds like the perfect candidate for escorting a civvie. Other idea would be Kamau (just because Mimetism makes him annoying to shoot down).
Are you sure? because this is what the rules say The user of this Special Skill and its Controller, known as a Synchronized Unit,
I'm looking at it from the point that they would be a Synchronized unit, I'm not sure how this works.
What's the relevance of the Controller and the trooper with G:Synch being a Synchronized Unit? The restrictions on Synchronize Civilian are: A model cannot declare this Common Skill if any of the following is true: It already controls two Civilians in the CivEvac state. It possesses the Impetuous or Extreme Impetuous Characteristic, or it possesses the Frenzy Characteristic and has become Impetuous. It possesses the G: Servant or G: Synchronized Special Skill. Its Type of Troop is REM. It is performing a Coordinated Order, or it belongs to any kind of Fireteam. The Controller: Doesn't already control two Civilians, Is not Impetuous etc. Does not possess the G:Synch Skill, Is not a REM, Is not part of a Coordinated Order or Fireteam.
Ok, then my group got this wrong, because I was told I could not Synchronize Civilian with my Auxilia
I find that most people don't actually read the rules. they rely on other to simply tell them the rules, and much like a game of telephone, it gets jumbled or confused somewhere along the way.
