I got some work done with a Sakiel with Light Rocket Launcher during the event. Too bad I never had time to write up a report for it... :(

I played a tournament and the Sakiel LRL did a good job there against a TR_Remote (terrain and Eclipse Grenades allowed me to get close enough first turn, the remote didn't have supportware) and a 5-man Fireteam.

I also bought an aditional Sakiel Spitfire for conversion into LRL one, but first I have many minis to paint.

I waited so long to post that this is almost necro. Sorry, but I wanted to think it over first. What I really want is a rework of critical rolls.

I like the automatic win and cancellation of higher opponent rolls. But I don’t like the auto wound or auto isolate or whatever feature.

let the trooper who got critted roll an ARM or BTS roll with disadvantage like maybe a -3 MOD. This way if an inferior troop gets really lucky the clearly superior trooper can still save with better stats. Luck remains with the critical because someone wasted a precious order, but it is less punishing for the receiver

I personally love the way crits work currently. I have been on both ends of the crit and it doesn't offend me at all. In most cases the crit situations are the most memorable parts of the game for me. They create a cinematic spot in the game that sticks with me. If they do change crits in N4 I will be very sad.

First, like @Cothel I like crits as they are right now.
Second, you should voice your opinion on this matter in this tread; https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...lists-and-bugs-that-need-fixing-thread.34550/

Please get rid of "Special Triads". We just need normal Triads. Anything in a special triad just needs to be regular fireteam triad.

Also, give the Kiel-Saan Fireteam Triad. It's not like they would take the space of an Ectros. The weapon variations and skills mean both would see use if a Tohaa player is actually willing to play with hackable units.

Would be nice see many profiles with Fireteam: Triad (all the triads now are very similar); there are many units that are little or never played, but if you added the Triad rule to them, these would become interesting.
Chaksa Longarms needs seriously a reason to exist.
Reex needs seriously a reason to exist.
Hatail Aelis Keesan needs a discount.
SymbioMates and SymbioBombs needs a rework.
Would be nice to see more Pheroware Tactics and many profile with this.
Would be nice have many ''Phero'' weapon.
Gorgos needs something extra or a discount.
    Taquel needs a discount.
    Ectros needs an improvement.
    Nikoul needs something extra.
White Hacking Device need a rework.
Mutan Symbiobeast is never played, he needs something.
    Many alien/exotic weapon and equipment.
Finally, i'm sure that many of us would be happy to have the Triumvirate sectorial that we have been waiting for for a long time.

I think Tohaa players would be more grateful if the good profiles weren't denied them. If you don't play spiral specifically, the whole release might have well been Draal and eventually Jan Staar.

The Spiral Corps are the agents of the Triumvirate, using their bought identity as a cover for their work in the Human Sphere.

It's a sectorial that features Triumvirate troops, controlled by the Triumvirate, doing the Triumvirate's bidding.

With all the crying about the crit system I hope they don't make it become the K1 ammo system, roll with no armor, so removing the k1 ammo from the game, actually from us.

I think it's fair for players to feel a little duped by it. It's a mercenary sectorial, now cut off from the rest of Tohaa-dom, that doesn't even count as an alien army for rules purposes.

On the other hand, it's very fitting for the secret society that most of the Tohaa don't even know exist.

They don't count as an alien race when it comes to impersonation, which is perfectly reasonable. You get a penalty on impersonation when trying to impersonate an alien as a human.
Since spiral corps do have human mercenaries in their ranks, any impersonator can simply disguise as a human.
People really need to get over this whole "they're not even considered alien" thing.

As far as N4 is concerned, I just hope Tohaa stay competitive and maybe get some internal balance changes for more list diversity.

I think it's worth keeping in mind though. They don't get Tohaa equipment for specops either, despite their specops being the Taagma and not the Brawler. I am super happy with the contents of Spiral Corps (my only mechanical complaint besides those are that I wish there was a decent HMG in the army that could Triad). I think from a design perspective it's really solid and tons of fun on the table. All my complaints feel very minor when I compare them to how I feel about JSA right now, for example. (My other army that I play right now is Shock Army, and they're in a great place right now.)

I agree with your hopes for N4. Tohaa can even be nerfed in a lot of ways and still stay competitive, so I hope most of the focus is on internal changes.
