I love the ability to mix the core fireteams, however with Haris, one of them must have the skill, so you must have a Brawler, Odalisque, or Zuyong with Haris skill. The rest of that team can be more of the same troops or a Wildcard trooper. Below are what I think will be great Haris teams, depending on the mssion. Brawler Haris I think a good addition to this guy is Brawler MSV2 Sniper and then a ABH sniper. I think a pretty good defensive team for missions where you need to defend area. I personally love the Zuyong HMG Haris as well. B5 HMG is always nice, even without the +3 Core bonuses.
I like the idea of the Zuyong Haris. I face the Wu Ming Haris in Ikari pretty regularly and it does great work. Ideally with the Zuyong Haris I'd have the HMG, obviously the Haris guy, and potentially a specialist. I do think there are some good wildcards in there but really I'm just thinking the Zuyong FO could be a great choice? That said, I also think a shotgun could be great and there are other good specialists in Dahshat like the Hunzakuts. Perhaps a good compromise, mind, would be Miranda Ashcroft with BSg. She's a specialist, she has a nanopulser and obviously the shotgun, and she's got a degree of protection against CC troops. Only weakness is vs a template attack where I'd preder a Zuyong but a CQB ODD gunfighter could kick ass in that team. You could put Valerya in the Core team, but that would mean activating the team to give the Rui Shi AF puts my other members in danger of beign shot for free. The Zuyong ML could be another HMG as well, but I like the idea of having an ARO guy out there with the 112 at the ready.

I like your thinking. It's useful to have that second group flexibility I find, where you can use the group to shoot, grab objectives or provide support. Putting a tacawareness Haris in group two also gives you that extra oomph for the Haris there. Definitely food for thought.
I feel you, man. The only thing I don't actually like is having the Lt. in a link I'd like to use for flanking. You can just use the regular HMG and remove something else to make space for a Ghulam Lt. but I'll test it first. Maybe it's not that bad.

I like el dozer Traktor Mul because I like the 24pts for three regular orders but also yes absolutely I like having Engineers. If I run HI I always take an Engineer and plenty of other times as well. E/M is definitely a thing, having isolated and immobilised troops is a real shitter. Get an Engineer in there and it gives you options, plus 14pts is hardly unreasonable. Also I recently saw a certain individual spaffing themselves over that new Speculo with Minelayer and therefore yes I would like Minesweepers plz thnx.
If you're taking costly REMs with a purpose then an Engineer is also great, yes. I like cheap Engineers and the Dozer brings them. The Najjarun is a better Engineer and has the shotgun, but also doesn't bring the Traktors who are so cheap as to be silly in terms of regular orders.
Ru Shi will usually die in your first turn after she spread havok over the enemy troops or she is to far away to be repaired. But perhaps my playstyle with attack drones is to aggressive.
Maybe, but I think that since you are getting the same amount of orders for the same points is not that bad to just get a specialist.
A Fanous is all well and good but I like the Dozer because it also does the Engineer job, it's a useful specialist to have, and on turn three you may be very glad you have it. Also a big strength of the Fanous is that they're repeaters but Dahshat doesn't have a lot of aggressive hacking going on (no KHDs for a start) so they're less useful to me in comparison to the cheaper Traktor.
I do like the Najjarun a lot. It's not that much more either. Both are good options I feel. As is the Brawler because you can link it.

Self-sufficient haris with 2 additionnal orders and the sectorial's 2nd best antihack solution (pitcher + blackout does wonders, but not being hackable in the first place is miles better). The only issue I see is that it's really tempting to ditch the haris and jut include a rui-shi and a cheap BH to make a dreadful core fireteam.
