https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/cancelling-of-prone-state-by-cautious-move.26545/page-2 Is this something for the unsolved questions as well? Seems like everybody plays it differently from RAW, and a very old post seems to indicate that this other way is RAI, but a really official ruling (FAQ) seems to be missing. Q: Can you cancel (/enter) the Prone state only with the Short Movement Skill Move, or with any skill that follows the General Movement Rules?
The old post no longer exists because it was on the old forum. I recommend playing RAW, which means that like Mount/Dismount you must declare Move to do so.
Which rule? This one? During an Impetuous Order a trooper can never move in a Prone state so he will automatically stand up at the beginning of the mandatory Move, or at the start of a Jump or Climb.http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Fury
No, that rule is only for impetuous troopers and it's an exception. When activated he cancels prone, even if the model is going to jump. Any other prone model by RAW that would want to climb/jump would need to use 2 actions for that, first a move + something to stand up and then a second action with the entire orders Jump/Climb. If the model have superjump, then he could declare move(stand up)+jump. If it has climbing-plus, then he uses move in vertical surfaces but this line from climb ("Troops can never be in the Prone state while they Climb or hold on to a vertical surface.") forces him to stand up before.
No, the General Movement Rules: By declaring Move, a trooper may go Prone or revert back to the Normal standing state at the start of his Movement at no cost. Remember that troopers have reduced mobility while Prone. And the Prone state itself: When a trooper declares the Short Movement Skill Move, its player may indicate that it will go Prone.
Started a threat for the conversation: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/index.php?threads/33784/ @psychoticstorm could you please move the OT conversation about Prone and Cautious Move there. Cheers :)
Added question regarding Harris and wildcard : can a wildcard with the harris skill replace the harris trooper (ex : odalisque harris replacing the djanbazan harris in djanbazan harris FT) https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/wildcards-not-replacing-all-fireteam-core-troopes.33723/ Need more time to see if other unsolved question will come from the same topic
I read the question in somewhere in the topic and it looks unsolved. Did I read it wrong ? If yes I will cancel it here
It's not unsolved. Ultimately, while the manner of the update to how core Fireteams work has lead to some fresh confusion, there isn't a coherent outstanding question.
I'd like to add that even if the new ruling affected Haris and Duo and Emotardis, it still wouldn't be unsolved because it is entirely a result of people confusing themselves by inferring rules that doesn't exist to explain the FAQ. Haris Fireteam requires one model to have Haris. Wildcard can join a Fireteam and replace models in said Fireteam. Said Fireteam needs at least one original member. Ergo, using a more relevant example where the Haris model is actually called out; even if the Zuyong Haris is replaced with a Shang-Ji Haris, as long as you have at least one Yan Huo in the Fireteam it'll have one original member since the Yan Huo FTO is an original member (Zuyong Haris + up to 2 Yan Huo FTO) I don't think there's even a single case where a Haris could be made invalid by replacing all models with Wildcards under the new ruling - the trooper with the Haris skill can in almost all cases form a Haris with their own unit!
