Cancelling of Prone state by Cautious Move

    Isn't that a problem? Everyone doing it doesn't make it right. Since you have inside knowledge on rules intent sometimes, do you know whether the popular behavior is the intended one?

    I'm not trying to say it's right or wrong, just that everyone does it. The intended behaviour is likely to be to follow the written rules, aka not going Prone/entering Prone during a Cautious Move/Jump/Climb.

    Right, so shouldn't we be pushing that in the rules forum? I understand that you weren't giving a judgment with that statement, but I think you probably should have.

    The problem is that as posted earlier up-thread, there's a really old ruling from Palanka saying that you can do it during any movement. As this contradicts the written rules, it has to be CB that makes a judgement.

    Ah, I see, thanks. That should really go in the FAQ if it's still correct; it's quite unfortunate to have to rely on a 3.5-year-old forum post to know that the correct way to play directly contradicts the printed rules.
