A bit of tentative speculation thread. To what degree do you think we should read into that Zhanshi Gongcheng and Zhanshi Yisheng are released this far from Invincible Army release? Is this an early sign of the fundamental structure of Invincible Army that Zhanshi forms the basis or is it simply that Zhanshi support pack was one of the absolutely oldest packs and with Tokusetsu out of the picture Yu Jing really needed this release?

I'd say that it's mostly a "cosmetic upgrade" of the old models, and we can expect the new YJ releases to go into that trend, with those releases being either resculpts or new models that have a fairly high chance to get into IA.

Mind you, there are still 2 "mistery N releases" for this year, and we are quite sure those won't be Tohaa nor Shasvastii, so it's Varuna, Vedic, IA, or TAK, and one might be a 2 player box.

I am under the illusion that IA has been confirmed for early next year, so I am not holding up hope that IA is hiding under one of the two N's

it was more like, hey before most Yu Jing players where going with the updeted japanese support pack ( and cheaper in list making) but now Yu Jing only have the old ( pl kill me face from the doctor) support pack.

I'm terrified. So if IA is a next year release it will mean we will be the "One of the great factions" with only one Sectorial.[/QUOTE]

In my view, if this has been a masterful CB troll and IA drops this year, then this box means Zhanshi are going to be at very least present ala Fusiliers in MO. If IA drops next year, this box is just a replacement for the Japanese units now removed from the faction.

Its an odd contradiction, where I want Invincibles now, but I want them to be free of Banner troops, so I guess I want the sectorial I desire immediately to not appear until next year?

I do hope IA will be this year. The whole Uprising felt a bit of a slap in the face by not having something to replace the JSA. But I think it’s unlikely. I’m thinking for Gen Con we will see a new 2 army box. I’m willing to bet on Ariadna TAK vs. Vedic. You have drastically different armies but still human (ish). I thought at first Vedic vs. Combined, but they have mentioned before about how people are drawn to the familiar Humans.

The IA is effectively is a banner army. Banner armies are just divisions of state empire forces, and the IA is a State Emprie force.

I realized that my theory of TAK vs. Vedic could be wrong due to the cost of the troops. I tried making lists based on the first Aleph starter and what I think could come out for TAK. I got them within 10pts of each other. I could be less for Aleph if they make it that you don’t need to have a Hacker to take Dakini. They may do something like the Auto Tool rule for Unidrons in the Combined.

But it could all be evened out by what other Exclusive box figure they come out with for each of them.

I don't think that we'll see a two-player box with sectorials. The point of two player boxes is to be introductory, and fireteams usually aren't introductory.

That's why I don't think we'll ever see Tohaa in a two player box either though, at least not in it's current state.

Technically Red Veil will be Vanilla vs Sectorial when Ramah is released.

We do also know that CB resculpts things when sales are very low, so it could just be that the old support pack wasn't selling any more.

Are Janissaries or Al Fasids confirmed for Ramah?

I'm much inclined to go with the latter. A lot of YJ players near me were using the Tokusetsu sculpts just out of preference for the newer sculpts (and admittedly the tokusetsu doctor girl is one of my favorite doctor sculpts in the game right now).

But we already saw that with Red Veil. They said the Haqqislam in RV were Ramah sectoral.

I thought the YJ in there to be IA but the Tiger Soldier and Ninja throw that off. I suppose they could be White Banner.

Grand Emperor Bostria himself, during the Red Veil Week on Beasts Of War.

Ghulam, Tuareg, Al Fasid, Zhayedan, and Khawarij are all confirmed for Ramah (in addition to Naffatun, Hakim, Big Mags, and Tarik).

The current speculation I've been hearing the most is that the gencon N will be some sort of ariadna + aleph thing. Reasoning behind that is of the new things that have been rumored to be close to launching (tuguska, ramah, IA, varuna, Vedic, Kazak) tunguska is already out, Haqq, YJ, and Pan O have all had vs boxes already, so all we're left with is vedic and kazak. This presupposes of course, that the gencon release will be another two player box. That leaves us with IA, Varuna, and Ramah for november and I don;t know the source, but folks seem be fairly certain that Varuna was guaranteed for this year, meaning Varuna would have to take that November slot. If all of that is true, then that means Ramah and IA will be next year.

Regardless, August will be on us sooner than you think and so not only will we have the Gencon reveal, we'll also have another panel to add new information.

And that irks me even more that PanO, who has currently 3 sectorals, will get theirs before YJ. It's like adding insult to injury to me.

Pan-O kinda does need fewer sectorials, or at least a full stop on sectorials for the coming decade*. But let's stick to Invincible Army here and have the speculations on which 1v1 box is coming next in the News section.

    * Maybe overhaul existing sectorials for them instead of releasing new ones.

Sorry, yes you are right! Focus!

So you are asking for what you think will be in the IA box set?
