Didn't get invited yet and I guess chances are low that I will, so unfortunately probably not :( Thanks for your thoughts! My main problem is that the cups are way too small and that though I did several adjustments. That makes it look strange, because the cups are sitting "on" my breasts instead of holding them... Also I seem to have made a mistake with the length. It was supposed to be a bit longer. But since there have gone several hours in it and I'm happy with the overall result I won't start anew. Guess I have to figure out what went wrong next time ;)
Just realized you forgot to include a pic of the skin itself. This is Parvati's new second skin, mini next month:
It looks like the drawing has some sort of "lining" (that also reinforces the shape), if you can sew leather I'd suggest adding a slightly darker covering for the borders. Also, I don't know if you already did, but placing another pin (or two, if the "belt" has a buckle on the back) on the back of the choker to hold the "belt" in place (I would have ran the belt extremes around the big leather piece, instead of like a normal belt, however). Also, you might want to use contact glue (the yellowish one you have to aply to both parts you wanna glue) for the lining I'm suggesting so it's easier to hold in place when doing the holes for sewing.
II think this is a great idea of a cosplay. This one seems like a lot of fun to craft, she kind of reminds me of a character made by Tim Burton.
Leila or the Hunzacutie seem like the obvious choices, but the HRL Janissary would be hella impressive.
But is Yashia tall enough to cosplay the Hunzacutie? ^_^ The mini would stand about ~195cm tall, were it a real person. That is tall, well tall-ish, even to me. The Hunzacutie doesn't wear combat heels either.
Perspective photos, photoshop the background so it looks smaller (kinda hard to justify going all Haggings like they did with Gandalf in the Middle Earth movies XD), and it can be done :p
Funny to see you discussing over a decision I have not made yet :D Due to sparse time I'm currently working very slowly, so until I reach the point of finishing Parvati and the Specialist Sergeant there will be plenty new cool minis. But go on giving me ideas! In the meantime have the second part of the belt:
Discussing? I was teasing --in a good-natured way -- about something you said some time ago about being too big to cosplay certain characters. But if you want a suggestion...
Okay, the second part of the belt is up now (see above) and here is the third one: I've got way too little time to work on my cosplays :( Next step will be the "wings", but I don't know when I will be able to start working on them. I'm sorry!
Japp. You can see the LED I used in one of the pictures. It's not illuminated in the concept art, but I thought this would be a nice thing for a futuristic "healing pot" ;)
