I love these models and i love the profiles, but is putting them into a five Morat link worth it? They are very expensive and a single model with Albedo or White noise can ruin their day. Should i keep them in a Haris link, use them individually or if i do Core them, how should i equip them?

Good question. Personally I haven't tried Yaogat core team yet, but I was thinking about them. Important thing is that full core team can mitigate some disadvatages made by Albedo or White Noise, because Sixth sence (you won't recieve BS -6 MOD), but opponent still can ignore them. I think Yaogats can work very well in some match ups, because both Albedo and white noise is limited to only small number of factions/sectorials.

Only question is if other core fireteams wouldn't be better in these match ups. Personally I will test Yaogat core fireteam in the future to see how it will works with mine playstyle.

I find the Haris really effective alongside a basic fireteam as they can cover anti-camo duty and the +1B can cut it whilst keeping the cost down. They are good as a Core team, just a bit pricey! if you play in a camo-heavy meta then I would consider the Core over the Haris for sure.

I like the Haris, but I think the core is very meta dependent. I see enough HD+ that the potential for White Noise worries me, particularly against Nomads where its protecting a strong link like Riot Grrls. However, if you have a lot of Ariadna and Phalanx, with few players deploying (or having access to) HD+ then I could definitely see fielding the full core.

I mostly agree with the above : I fielded the Haris several times. But for a MI core in MAF, I think I'd take the Rodoks

I agree with the above as well. I ran Yaogat core almost exclusively in N3 pre human sphere and it worked well for me. Camo and ODD is more common than White Noise and there was no Albedo at the time. Even still, as Melkhior said that only lets the enemy bypass the Yaogats, not confront them.

Morats have some good independent operators that can make good use of a strong defensive firebase of Yaogats. Kurgats, Zerats, Soggies, etc..

I wish they were AVA 6 so I could have a Haris and Core of 3...

The Yaogat Core team is very expensive for what it brings to the table. You'll rarely have a need for 5 MSV2 troops in a single list, they lack long-range weapon options besides the Multi-Sniper and Panzerfaust, and they only have a single (expensive) specialist option. Compare them to Rodoks or Vanguards (or even Daturazi), and you're gaining little to nothing in terms of shooting ability, losing out on Missile Launchers and HMGs, and can't take many specialist options, all for fewer points. I'd relegate Yaogats to the Haris team or solo operator positions for these reasons.

I think the biggest reason not to take a core of Yaogats is the fact they have a haris option. I've fielded the haris team around the sniper several times and they've always been very effective in that configuration.

I tried a core team too, and while it wasn't bad, it kinda felt like I was missing out on something. They're nearly as expensive as suryats in a full core team, and don't have the same damage output or resistance as suryats, even if they do bring a smoke trick to the table.

I've used the 5 man core a few times and it is crushingly expensive however the juicy +3 on the sniper and spitfire has often compensated as has the erasure of a guija in reaction once. If you take them as a core you're also going to want a horde of datz to drop smoke and give you the order back up you need it can be pretty effective.

Normally however i only ever run them as a harris: hacker, harris combi faust and spitfire that way you can afford something else but still get most of the benefits and order efficiency. As a note you can get 5 well kitted rodoks, 3 yaogats, Dr Boobworm MD/Eng with slaves and kornak as a 300pt 6swc list. Can confirm it's a bit vile.

If you go playing against Ariadna or Haquisslam, the Yaogat's core are the best option to engange, bonus link team as 5 members would be great to discover+shoot in a few orders, with a single smoker like Anyat without impetuous orders, behind at the core range. Sounds be nice with +3 discover and +3 BS with that sniper or spitfire, but with this core dosen't have high mobility and a capable options when your all profiles list can't do anything whit that synergies before to accomplish objectives, you are limited to put a Zerat as duo or take one and rest of the list with remotes like M and E, you run the all of the list arround of your core to clean all menaces for your specialist. Arround as 154 points with a base core, this cost are the mid of your list, and you need to put some cheap orders and able to efficiency to do the synergies. With 180+ points i prefer go with full team of Suryats before to switch Yaogats, but against this twoo factions its very nice options with that full mvs2.

Against on other factions, the haris options could be run beter if you wan't visors, but yeah... the problems in general for the Yaogats are too expensive, and can be countered by Albedos, White Noises and the other fireteams with sixt sense bonus in general. I only run with Yaogats core againts Ariadna or Haquisslam, bcs they have a lot profile troops very sneeaky and easy kills with that sniper weapon damage, and of course, high probabilities to engange with a lot of cammo' markers.

I consider if you go run as MAF, the best way is runing with haris options, it's very difficult to run as a single Yaogat, but never its imposible if you need to try to play with that single profile, bcs, the Zerat with sniper she have a "better" chances to run as single sniper profile, without combo smoke and other cheap tricks, but she are the best sinergie with the mark states on the enemies to gain as 14BS to engange, she are very cheap than the Yaogat sniper, but they run with different synergies obiously.

As said above, I find the Yaogats bread and butter to be the Haris.

The core is very useable, as with all things Infinity, depending on your play style. I had a lot of fun and success with two snipers in a Yaogat core. They can cover a large area and multiple approaches with visors and ill will. My opponents never seemed to like the idea of two snipers in a core link with visors, go figure. The main point being that a Yaogat core link is going to be half of your army. It can be done, but it takes planning for the rest of your units and how you are running the mission.

The main thing would be to run it, have fun, and see what you think.

One thing also worth mentioning that they do have over Rodoks and Suryats is grenades so they have some spec fire capability on 12's at good range, however as daturatzi do it better it's pretty much a footnote but can get you out of a tricky situation from time to time.

    My opinion - too expensive.

MSV2 is kinda too specialized - It depends on the enemy bringing stuff that you counter with it, or using extra orders to put up smoke. And you pay a lot for it. I would much rather bring Rodoks, as mimetism is generally more applicable and *much* cheaper.

I think they make a much better Haris than a core link. +1 burst on a multi-sniper and easy access to smoke grenades is a good combo.

The biggest weakness of MAF is the lack of specialists. A link of vanguard and a haris of Yaogat still leaves you with a lot of points to work with and the vanguard can have multiple specialists within it.
