I worry about the Marksmanship program in a full core on the Spitfire which is why I would limit my hopes to Haris or Duo. Maybe just a Feuerbach FTO for the Core.
1. core dakini HMG's exist, the tsyklon would be fine 2. that program probably shouldnt exist but that something to be discussed in a different thread
Yeah, crazy to think Dakini core outperforms that prospect for less already, but there you go. Still Tsyklon Feuerbach FTO even would be pretty baller, and likely have that profile actually see the table...
Dakini has different weaknesses though Tsyklons are sexy af. I dunno if I would want them locked into a slower link though. I want those bad bois mobile, agile, hostile.
Personally I really like the idea of Gecko/Tsyklon Duo but they probably didn't even consider it. Damn that would look cool though. Really make that Clockmaker work for his pay.
I am criticizing your ideas, which is the opposite of ad hominem. Observance is here to stay and Triad is going to be forever Tohaa only, and that is a good thing. Giving Triad to everyone would just muddle up list building and pretty much invalidate every other fireteam option.
A Clockmaker has a shorter path to the center of the table than a Tomcat and +2 WIP. There's a trade-off.
Clockmaker having a shorter route is depending on where you place him and how guarded your DZ is. It's harder to account for all the side edges as well as DZ. Also Tomcat comes with a light FT and Climbing+, which makes him a winner for me every time.
Looking at Carlotta, she pays 8 extra points for +1CC, +1BS, +1 WIP, +1ARM, and an Adhesive Launcher. That's honestly not a bad deal, but it seems unfocused. It's like they couldn't decide between making her a better engineer or better fighter so they tried to do both, leaving her bloated and ignored for everything except Hunting Party. Moriarty gets +3 BTS for free, which is neat but mostly useless. Personally I'd like to see her either get proper AD to be the super engineer she could be, or to pick up mimetism to spec further into the combat engineer role. I think either of those changes would make her viable even at ~35 points. It'd also be really nice if Moriarty could get climbing plus to really show Carlotta's modifications and boost utility. I'd pay an extra point or two for that.
Wild speculation! I want a corrigidor only killer hacker brigada with a shotgun or smg. (She could be a character and look like the brigada bust). That would help a lot more than the regular hacking device and shave off points imo.
We've already get regular hackers, plenty of assault hackers, and a killer hacker. Since we're the closest thing to a professional army in the Nomad fleet, it stands to reason that we have an IT department too. To fill this void I propose the following character: Sally Solutions, Hell Desk Operator A Hacker with Albedo, AD, EVO HD, and DHD. Special programs: "Is the light blinking?" (EVO) - Allows for the placement of a targetted state token within the hacking area. This provides the +6 targetted bonus to AD troops attempting to land on that point. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" (DHD) - Allows a unit with disabled comms equipment to make a Reset attempt. On a success the equipment is repaired, on a failure the unit cannot be activated for the rest of the turn as they are on hold waiting to submit a requisition order for replacement equipment.
My wish list -make Lupe a wild card -Let MBs join Jaguar links as well as alguaciles -Bring Raoul Spector into the CJC mercenary roster -Give wildcats and Carlotta kowalsky an upgrade, not sure what but they need something -New Gecko profile with a big gun
I hope they don't bring raoul into CJC As for geckos they already have a big gun in the dam 16 mk12 its just that the range bands aren't great and i would prefer them getting xvisors as i like the design of them being low swc budget tags. though that being said a standard sniper rifle could be amusing.
I am all in favour of this, or even another SMG specialist Brigada, like an FO, or Dr to save on points and swc compared with the regular hacker.
Agreed on Raoul. I would actually use MSR Gecko. Maybe if the sniper also got an SMG I would take it.
It would be a shame if the sectorial famous for its AD troops (at least fluff wise) would end up using that one outsider way more often than their own units of the type.
