Wow, thats way cooler than I thought based on the initial group picture. Can’t wait to proxie Ariadna stuff in Infinity with him
And as far as I can remember, some info about all of those characters will be given during this month. Maybe even in this week.
I actually really liked Uprising (and love to have all Dire Foes missions in one place), but it has been pretty difficult for me to read through Third Offensive.
The Dire Foes section of Uprising is fine. It's the various timelines and the Imperial SS response to the Uprising that is terrible. 3O is better than the problematic parts of Uprising.
So, Nisse-ish PanO, Ariadnan Dogwarrior, Nomad Hacker, and what appears to be some flavor of YJ beatstick HI?
Seems like it. There will probably be more characters available for stretch-goals, but it seems these 4 will be the base characters! I'm excited to see what the enemies look like as well.
I hope other character heroes will be just the datacards to use already existing Infinity models... As for the enemies, we already know the Taiga beasts of the Shas are very likely, so some shas will be as well. I hope the ubiquitous Unidrons will be deployable as well, frankly, and some Aspect. With the rumours of Operation: Wildfire, however, I'm not 100% sure
To keep selling price at manageable levels, because I doubt they will inclue extra heroes for free :p The "more characterful sculpts of already existing units" can come later as expansions, anyway I would hope, anyway, that one of the stretch goals would be the rules to create your own hero. And that those rules won't be a remix/copy-paste of the Specops rules.
Nope, but doesn't needed. Remember the Minotaur motors (the ones that allow a ship to go throug a wormhole without need of Ubiquitous Nexus Stabilisation Zone, which is what Gates provide). :3
Dogwarrior or Wulver. And considering that Digwarriors require two models, I‘m guessing Wulver (but hoping Dog warrior).
The Daedalus Fall book mentions, regarding said Gate, that the Gate building around the "hole" stabilize the conduit, and that without it, transit is dangerous to levels acceptable only to exploration and desperate military operations. The Minotaur drive is needed, and, it seems to me, activated for all transits, regardless of the existance of a Gate installation in one side or neither. Having only one Gate increases security, but not by much. Having a Gate on both sides make it safe. It wouldn't be the first time CB releases something lacking the second form. In the game, it can be stated to use the same model regardless of actual shape, and if it uses cards, you just flip that one. I mean, in the Outrage box, Domovoi comes without Dog Warrior model (but I have McMurder if I need him to, so...)
