Even in wishcasting/listing, Lupe seems an odd choice to put with MAF in a Dire Foes...

yeah, i agree. but with complaints about profile bloat, maybe a resculpt is a good way to go

Yeah, I aggree, but I am not sure we will see K1 combi on the Vanguard. Vanguard on the box artwork show us standard morat combi rifle. But some specific loaudouts would be fine.

I fear that CB will change Hungries somehow, because they gave us Skurgot Jawbrutes and I think they will take some of the Hungries roles. And I don't think we need 3 similar beasts in vanilla CA (Hungries, Taiga creatures, Skurgot Jawbrutes). Solution would be to make Skurgots MAF exclusive or change Hungries to be more unique.

I hope new MAF will have more Mk12s, some loadouts with marksmen rifles and maybe other exotic weapons

I think I didn't make my point about hungries clear.

I liked the pre-N4 hungries much more than the current version. For me the 'buffs' they got in N4 ended up making them less useful. I'm afraid Daturazi might go the same route in this update. BUT I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment.

In regards to weapons, I wouldn't like to see marksman rifles, but more MK12, K1 ammo or maybe even T2 would make me very happy.

Ok. I understand. IMHO N3 Hungries were problematic. If I remember correctly on the table we saw only preta, because of the mines and chain rifle. Also they were cheaper than gaki, so nobody used any Gaki in th list.

Now are Hungries in a bad spot, because of the Taiga creatures. I would like to see them to have unique role in the army. Maybe recreate them as Surdaor Mutan like beasts? It would be even good solution to Oznat. Oznat could be our version of uberfallkommando or Kerail preceptors. Which would make them interesting.

Reason I would like to see marksman rifle is special ammo. Zerats could be interesting with k1 marksman rifle instead of sniper rifle. It would be great to have choice between this loadout and red fury loadout. And other units can have access to Mk12. Maybe some new Hi with Mk12 or even loadout for Suryats or Sogarats?

A DAM (+1) Mk12 would seem to fit the Suryats nicely. Perhaps a Red Fury in the Oznats, since they’re hunters, wanting to put things down in one shot, etc. Maybe a MAF-wide switch to MULTI instead of Heavy Pistols as a half-step in the direction of exotic weapons.

I would love to see Oznat+hungries turned into an uberfall-like unit. That would be very welcome. I do fear how much said unit would cost though, as right now the Sensor Oznat with pet hungry is a bit on the expensive side (although she is not bad, just a bit too expensive. If she were 25-26 points I'd use her more)

I think it is possible to see cheaper Oznat + beast (depends if CB wolill give them Hungries or Skurgots), because Tyrok hunter with Skurgot is relatively cheap and she has forward deploment. So with some slight changes Oznat can cost around 25 pts with 1 beast and around 30 pts with 2 beasts.

Opening army right now, the oznat pays 8 points! for the synch preta, which is more than the 7 points the preta costs on its own. By contrast, the Tyrok only pays 4 points for the skurgot, but the skurgot doesn't have a gun.

Now, if they dropped the preta to a more reasonable 5 points (it does have a gun and better skills than the skurgot), we'd be looking at an oznat+preta costing a measly 22-23 points. Which means with two pretas she could be costing 28 points.

At that cost, with her skills? I'm taking two.

Exactly. Even Jayth Cutthroat with sync Taiga pays less fot his pet. Taiga cost 6 points which is same prize as da taiga, but exchange chain colt for shock mines.

Also I wouldn't be against version with Gakis instead of with Pretas to have even cheaper CC dedicated version.

And it may be a bug in Army, but the Sync Preta also loses its Climbing Plus… yeah, even if the 8pts is just for Zone purposes, that’s kind of off.

Nothing much, just thinking how Zerats and Oznats can improve, and what kind of “exotic” weapon (a la SEF and Zappers on Nox) could be a good fit.

Guys, please... You gonna get the thread locked.

If you've got nothing to say about the incoming release, even if it's wild, silly speculation like we've been indulging so far, then just don't post.

Let us enjoy our little imagination spot before we get hit with a healthy dose of reality next week.

It could be interesting to see only non-standard Combis (K1, Breaker, maybe even Viral) on Zerats. Also, with the addition of free standing Hidden Deployment, maybe HD on Zerats? Could also get FD on Oznats, since they getting ahead in their zeal for the hunt?

I would love to see more exotic weapons in Morats. I think current morats for exotics have the K1 Sniper and K1 Combi of the vanguards/anyat, the T2 rifle of the Tyrok, and a couple Vulkan Shotguns. Can't think of another.. Maybe add something really silly and close combat, like a plasma boarding shotgun or a fancier Heavy Flamethrower.

Vulkan Shotgun is already a pretty fancy flamethrower, wouldn't mind a Vanguard option with one.

Turning all Morat BSGs into VSGs would be a really cool faction quirk, not sure how that affects points costs though.

There is a direct message function. I advise its use for off-topic conversations and/or chest-beating.

Honestly I'm kinda disappointed that it's a CA faction that's getting a rework given how stupidly good CA Vanilla is at present, but the Morat community deserves the attention at least. Heavens knows they've been waiting patiently long enough for competitive options, and hopefully this gets the fluff to shut up about Shasvastii for the first time in years.

    That's my concern as well.

    The unfortunate side-effect of 'Oh-this-will-benefit-Vanilla-even-more'-syndrome.
