Yes, that is possible, but it would be first unit without any Combat jump backpack . Even new Cadmus model has special backpack to show that it is combat jump unit. So it can be Taryot, but it also can be something completly new. Also Taryot has a different unit logo and yes I know CB can change unit logo if they want and they already did it with Shas unit logos.
Taryot are piloted remotely by Vanguard who are recovering from injuries, or too injured to keep fighting. They're not an ambulatory prosthetic like a Space Marine Dreadnought.
So let's speculate box contents. 3x Badass-Vanguard 1x Taryot variant 1x Vurgok-ish or Sogarat-ish 1x Zerat variant 1x Ur looking dude ? Also, Vanguard ARM 2 Just noticed zerat has hoses coming out of her helmet too, not a fan of that type of design.
ARM2?! He has bare arms. I added another image to show more body. I'm not a fan of hoses that go nowhere either. Reminds me too much of another games figures I don't like to mention.
i don't think big guy is Vurgok. It doesn't look like model with 3 legs and I don't think CB would add S7 model to action pack. IMHO it is S5 HI and it is either new Sogarat or something new and similar to Sogarat.
The big chest armor is why I think ARM 2, the Zerat variant looks thin enough to be ARM1, I'm also just hoping Vanguard get a bump...
I've learned to never trust the art or even the figure for that. Some things look practically naked and have ARM5, and others look HI and are actually MI. I agree. I think it's a new Sogarat or new HI. I always thought it was a little strange Morats only had the two HI. I hope it's new.
Interesting thing is that art on the box shows 5 units, but the Action pack usually contains 9 models. So we are missing like 2 models unless there will be more than 3 Vanguards, Zerats or other 2 units shown on the picture. I also hope that some of mine speculations from another thread will happen. Here are some of mine theories: Skurgots jawbrutes have their own logo (look at Tyroc hunter) - so maybe we will see them as solo unit and there is also possibility they will took some of the Hungries roles in MAF. Question is what will happen to Hungries - rework?, Hungries only in vanilla? Hungries no longer existing in CA? Tyrok hunter is armed with rifle. What if this indicate that Morats will lose Combi rifles and they will have rifles + heavy pistols? and they will have access to more exotic ammos like T2, K1 and so... I hope Oznat + Hungries fireteam will go way of dodo and CB will change Oznat to our version of Uberfallkommando with either Hungries or Skurgots
The MO Action pack has brought two new units and a HI that changed from S2 to S5 (in good way). While the Teutons replaced the Magisters. So I expect some new units and changes with the Morat AP too. The not Zerat logo Zerat could be new unit that replaces the Zerats (Tankoed unit). The big guy look new for me, if this is a new shaped Sogarat, than its not a good way asthetic wise - the Sogarat has a cool badass look. This one looks more technical. The coat guy that look a bit like a Heckler could be a brand new unit, while the in the front seems to be a vanguard in jungle look. The left one with the varuna-orc-look could just be a new Suryat but the loadout with sword an pistol does not support that. Bear in mind, that the artwork on the boxes vary sometimes with actual contend.
Starmada and MO also only had 5-6 units on the cover art, but contained 9, both had a Silhouette 4 or 5 miniature too.
I am looking at the female Morat unit and maybe it isn't really Zerat. Doesn't she looks like she is sitting on something? And what if the visor on her helmet isn't hacking device, but it is motorbike helmet? Logo is similar to Zerat logo, but there are some differencies. Maybe it is female Morat biker. Do you also see it or it is only mine wishful thinking?
Considering we’re likely looking at a ”small” re-work. MO compared to Shasvastii. I think there will be a scattering of new units and resculpts. I really like the idea of updating but not outdating line infantry with different environment…..kits/clothing. Like the Svalarheima troops. I very much hope they do not resculpt the Suryats but instead add another HI. The Suryats are cool sculpts with decent enough profiles. MAF needs more real variety more than anything.
Providing more evidence they are arm 2. I am not sure. Pretty much the entire range of Morats has been removed from production which seems like a hint towards a massive redesign. Maybe CB is trying to really make them the Klingons of the Infinity universe, changing dramatically from series to series.
Yeah, I think this is a full rework, or they wouldn't be discontinuing the entire current range. And the base Morat design seems to be changing, albeit not massively, based on the art so far with the slightly different face design, which points to a full redone range.
I hope so. Got the impression it is more low key from Psychoticstorm and the fact it is ”only” an Action Pack with Haqq/Aleph sharing the glory of the big Gencon box.
Haqq/Aleph will take the C1 release slots, so we can expect Operation, Beyond, Support, REMs, TAG, Boosters and Hero blister. Ariadna and Nomads are already most of the way through with only Booster Beta and Hero blisters to come. With everything MAF discontinued I wouldn't be surprised if they get releases almost every month, though I imagine some will be repacks of older sculpts.
Exactly. That doesn’t rhyme with all the units being discontinued at once. There’s no way CB can release that many MAF units unless they completely moves away from their regular way of releases.
I don't think we will see repacks of old sculpts, maybe with exception of the kurgat and rasyat, but I think even these units will be resculpted (or even heavily modified and reimagined as different units). We will see soon, what CB want to make from MAF and I am already excited. I also hope new MAF will have impact also on the Onyx (new Morat unit for onyx or if and how new Maf change Rodoks and Suryats for Onyx.
