This season: "Welcome to Japan, Ms Elf" is a bit of a Japanese tourist ad, but very sweet. Previously: I keep returning to "Ghost in the Shell" "Frieren" is still a masterpiece. "Little Busters" I just can't get out of my head... "Solo Leveling" is an OK story, with A+ grade animation "Kyousougiga" is fun, and sad, and just quirky "What Do You Do at the End of the World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us?" takes the prize for title length and slow-burn melancholy. "The Devil is a Part-Timer" for mindless fun. "Restaurant to Another World" for menu inspirations.
I’ve been watching too much anime the last few years. But it’s nice to turn off my brain sometimes and watch some stupid and fun stuff. Lately I’ve been drawn to Slice of Life because I’m sick of violence. I also don’t want drama most of the time. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched K-On or Laid Back Camp. Some of the Food Porn shows can be good but makes me want to eat more. There are a few action shows that I’ve loved recently. Mainly Frieren. That is an amazing show!
Same, have grown tired of edgy drama and grimdark and suffering and tragedy, and instead have grown to love slice of life more and more as time passes, Yuru Camp is great (have to make a diorama of these girls at some point, hardcore girls camping in freaking winter) but there's so many of these lately and i love that, and somehow haven't grown remotely tired of the "this food I'm trying for the first time is the tastiest thing I've eaten in my life!" kinda expressions
I've enjoyed Komi Can't Communicate if you like slice of life. Every character's name is a pun so it's fun if you know a bit of Japanese. Also all the girls wear exceedingly short skirts yet no gratuitous panty shots which is a nice change. Hi Score Girl is also a good bit of nostalgia if you were ever part of the 90s Street Fighter 2 / fighting games scene.
