A number of other outspoken 'play by intent'-ers have gone to record saying they don't care what CB want, but if you genuinely mean that @Todd, then (in that respect at least) we're on the same page.
Can I tell all of you that personal attacks are not permitted and by forum policies I should have issued a few official warnings by now? Lets not go to that territory shall we?
Can you just clarify, does CB's policy here only apply to verbal attacks or apply to physical ones too?
If so, the correct gaming procedure would be to take a laser pointer, use Flash Pulse ARO over opposing player's eyes, and then say 'gotcha!', as he flails madly around. Victory by any means necessary! On a side note one of my cats had just fallen asleep on my hand and I can't even reach the mouse with it. My hand is now IMM-2. Ok, it moved away. Crisis averted.
If you have actually been physically attacked please contact your local police authorities and report the incident, I am afraid the forum moderation team has no authority over it. On the other hand the forum moderation team does have jurisdictions over the forum and users behaviour so I will repeat my statement, stop attacking other posters personally, veiling it as a joke does not change the fact.
It's not you, it's the capitalism. Viva la revolution! (My mood is resilient. One needs something more potent to kill it).
It's not players job to care about what CB wants. It's CB's job to produce what players want. Disregarding what the great majority of your player base think makes your game good wouldn't be a good choice, but it might well be an entertaining one. Good luck with that.
So now one side says the other will ignore the FAQ, continue to play it wrong and argue, while the other says the first will ignore the FAQ, continue to argue and play it wrong... Well apparently they agree on something. See, on the one hand, the majority and the minority can still run the game as they like it with a house rule, but on the other CB have known about it for a while now and done bupkis, so either they didn't think as many people as 10%+ were playing the misinterpretation, or they prefer the misinterpretation after the fact, but don't want to put out the 'wrong' method as 'correct' or shake the faith of up to 90ish% of their customers...
I can say that this debate is having real consequences in my cycle and not helped by the fact that some are pushing Necromunda and 40k. The fact that we have no idea how infinity will be played from ne venue to the next makes practicing for infinity kind of hard. I am not even talking about Intent but this is easily the biggest example.
How about a little pedantry to kill it?:screamcat: You mis-spelled revolución. Or you mis-spelled vive? (French: vive la révolution. Spanish:viva la revolución.) No idea how to say it in Polish. We did at least answer the OP's question, Before the re-hash about intent? Add [Answered] to the thread title and lock this thread down. Go play some Infinity this week-end guys. Enjoy it. The forum will still be here when you get back. I'm almost certain of it.
