    To both this posts:
The product CB tries to sell is the long awaited Vedic sectorial.
All the reasons you are providing to like Vedic are in Vanilla, with the extra of Smoke and Melee troops (dunno if you looked at it, but there are classified objectives DEMANDING to kill enemies in melee).

Thus far I see little reason to play OSS over, for example, ISS, funnily enough.

Apparently CB doesn't want to use their own rules of Low Visibility in any of the released missions ^^

(nor create rules to nerf in any way direct usage of templates)

I see we disagree very strongly how fireteam options, changes to AVA, and Jumper LZ affects the sectorial capabilities.

Also, how many Classifieds require melee kills? One? And if drawn it can be easily discarded.

Heh, forgot about that. I'm trying to get my meta to use them more (read: at all) :P

Visibility Zones are something that should be dependant on the scenery in use, not in the mission.

There is always some. And good enough for cheap MSV2 units to hunt down. But nearly enough not to pay for MSV3 or MSV2 TAG.

Especially since you first have to discover them, meaning Orders. Which when you bring 70 and 120 points troops you don't have.

Also, bringing them means risking White Noise / Albedo attacks.

Ignores only Mimetism, Camo, TO Camo and ODD. Does not ignore Suprise Shot, Surprise Attack, White Noise, Nimbus, nor Full Auto modifiers.

Sure. Kinda useful. Not risking a 120 point TAG. Or paying for 70 point infantry. What kind of metas are you playing?

Again, nobody is talking about those things.

I was replying to eciu's post.

Regarding Marut: I think our differences are more about usefulness of TAGs, than about Marut itself.

Lol, you don't need smoke at all when you have the firepower efficiency of Operations. Smoke let's you move while avoiding enemy fire, but why do that when you can just kill everything not 100% hidden?

A Dakini and Deva team with 3 Netrods and an Apsara is about 130pts depending on loadout. 9 orders, a MOV 6-4 BS 13 five man fireteam with mimetism and a LT, swish. Oh you've got someone on overwatch? Bang, dead.

    Camo is 2nd option.

    Especially on MOV 6-6 units.

    Or those with FD2.

Unless your OSS is special you can take only 2 Netrods in "general public release of OSS" ;P

Yeah, sorry about that, missed the context after quoting.

Hm. I happen to think TAGs are plenty useful, just not when they are Lt costing 120 points with a piece of equipment that is only situationally useful and yet makes it vulnerable to special attack.

New profiles are cool. Waiting for proper PDF to spell out Fireteams... Atm it reads that the Samekh can join "any Fireteam" which would include CSU and ABH Duos :/

Personally, I think Ghost Jumper LZ is a bit underwhelming, given it doesn't gel with Supportware - but it is less order intensive.

Quite frankly I have no idea where the criticism is coming from. This Sectoral is insane. I just chucked this list together and it's ridiculous.

When your only TAG costs nearly half your list, you truly are talking about what matters. A "lite" version was asked, a "no MSV2" version was asked. None were provided.

Giving AVA2 to Marut is like throwing salt in the wound.

Arjuna feel a little pricey considering they don't come with their little helper bots.

Those Devas/CSU in the Dakini Fireteam are going to slow it down something chronic, and will be targeting beacons for template fire, considering they're the only ones without Mimetism. Oh well, I guess one problem solves the other - if they die first, they won't slow the survivors down anymore!

The Killer/Assault Hacker Deva with Lightning I think might be my default Deva to throw in with the Dakinis, even over the Spitfire with MSV2. Provide some anti-Hacker support for the REMs it's escorting, as well as a Boarding Shotgun for those close-up encounters. Although then again, having the MSV2 & Spitfire one would be very useful...

The Breaker Combi Specialist CSU could be useful in the fireteam - same price as the Paramedic Dakini, also a Specialist (although an inferior one, particularly when an Apsara is on the field), and brings some anti-BTS firepower, for if that's substantially lower than the target's ARM, although the BS isn't quite as good as a Dakini with Apsara support, or Marksmanship against someone in Cover.

That's probably substantially better than my second attempt (we... won't talk about my first attempt. I tried to throw ALL the new shinies in, and it would NOT have worked):

Click them in army - the Profile doesn't list it but they come with 2 of them (which makes them fairly expensive).

Since they're MI don't forget Arjunas have free FWDL 1.

These are really cool units and fireteams, but MAN everything is pricey. I am having a tough time building a good list.
