Can’t say I’m surprised although I’m not happy about it. Any chance of a great one-off sculpt as a send-off?

Corvus Belli accomplishes a lot with this approach:
    - Keeps the gameplay of the sectorial alive.
    - Improves gameplay.
    - Model-wise, it preserves what people play with or collect.
    - Proxy rules and conversions are always an option.
    - They could come back in the future.
    - Lots of the units like REMs, Tikbalang, and Aleph, are still available.

It's just a business decision. It may hurt to have these models less available, but if you look hard enough, you'll still be able to collect them. I just found Jacques Bruant in a store a few weeks ago and someone in my group offered to sell their MRRF.

I picked up both old and new Acontecimento starters recently and found it pretty easy to find even the out of production models to fill out a few lists I want to build.

I can't believe people get so worked up about this.

i think there is a legitimate fear among many players that this is a sisters of battle/ brettonia situation .

dont worry models are OOP but can still use rules, but then a decade of no updates will come by , until basically those who care if they are in game or not are such a minority that they can be removed without a hassle.

I always like acon, never really played them, so it doesnt hurt me personally. Hell if they see a blister montesa and guarda, I might even be happy. But i can understand why people are upset.

Ok, so there are two things I hope to see come out of this model wise:

    - Regular Hacker w Fastpanda
    - Single resculpted Montesa Knight Blister

As far as unit changes are concerned there are three I'd like to see:

    - CoC on Lt Stephen Rao
    - NCO on Kirpal Singh instead of CoC (maybe also Specialist Operative?)
    - Ditch the offensively stupid SWC tax on Acon Regular FOs

I'm not actually sure that there are any Fireteam changes I'd want to see... maybe a Regular Haris option?

Now, given the number of new sculpts I think this is a dumb choice. I think it's also a dumb choice in terms of the message it sends about how PanOceania is intended to play (no matter what Varuna turns out to be). But it's not the end of the world.

As to "don't worry, these will come back one day when CB come around to them again". I don't consider that "promise" to be worth anything 'till it actually starts happening. It seems more likely to turn out to be wishful thinking.

Maybe put Joan sculpts into boxes, to save some SKU space?

No. Make Joan v3.0 in 3 separate blisters.

If one of those blisters is the groping Umbra by himself, you might just have a some sales on the other 2.

People get worked up because it's like watching a best friend die in your hands, maybe that's a bit extreme, but most of all some people put time and effort into a product just to find out that the product will no longer or will be put on a back burner, to some it's a betrayal.

I think that a lot of people feared about playing possibilities in future for acon
Never played mrrf but I hope that in a close future mrrf take other boost before new version
And I hope the same for acon and every other "dismissed" sectorial

Except you won't be able to buy new models. That's a pretty significant change.

This is a shitty thing to do for a company that gained a lot out of GW doing similarly shitty things.

Each blister has a different model clinging to her desperately. I don't want to spoil it, but one model rhymes with Mavatar and the other two Psaladin and Fsun Tze.

@psychoticstorm : CB is discontinuing stopping production of one of their flagship products: The Drago TAG. It's also one of the last-made S7 TAGs, despite being in the game from the very beginning.

[ edit ]Apparently I have killed far too many brain cells in far too many liberty ports, as the Drago actually came out in 2011! So it's one of the oldest current-gen TAGs. [/ edit ]

How long has it been since Shas and MRRF were back-burnered while CB re-thought their design?

Ummm, the Dragão has been available for at least six years, rather than being one of the most recent. And Shas is coming back in the new year, while FRRM got updated right before being paused.

As understandable as this is from a business perspective, I agree with those who say there are too many orders of knights and that canning most of them (and having one version of Joan for example) would have been better than cutting the much more visually and fluff-wise interesting Acon line. _Especially_ the Tikbalang.

But that's spilled milk at this point. Let's hope the rebalancing/addition given to Acon as a goodbye is better than the minor tweaks (not enough by far) given to MRRF. Acon could use mixed links indeed, and dropping that silly FO SWC tax.

The Dragao was November 2011 according to the release spreadsheet. It's the same age as the Traktor Muls, which was a bit of a shock.

welp, as a noob who's been dancing around getting into this game for about a year now, this is a bummer. Not sure I can justify dropping a few hundred on the entire range in the next couple months.

    Looks like NCA it is!
