We could do best type of pie, but Steak & Kidney with a puff pastry lid is the obvious winner.

 

I don't know... a Brazilian pastel (de frango) would give it a run for its money...

 

Nah mate, that's a pasty, I'm talking about pies.

 

Then I'd still have to mention an empada de carne seca... mmmmm...

 

I had to Google it but it seems like Brazil has a pretty strong pie game, the images showed a worrying lack of gravy in the examples though.

 

The local Cuban/Irish fusion pub does a killer steak & Guinness pie, it's got parsnips in and everything!

They also do a scotch egg with a runny yolk and black pudding mixed into the sausagemeat, delicious.

 

I wouldn't have money left for new models though...

 

It's called Fidel Murphy's, it's the best Cuban/Irish fusion pub in the Caribbean.

I get a monkey vibe when I look at the old rebots.

 

A pie should be fully encased in pastry otherwise it's just a casserole with a lid.

 

Right after seeing the new ones I've ordered a box of the old ones.
