Asmodeus makes a good comparison for every time someone complains "X company is going full corporate".

Maybe their just putting a bit too much faith in 'it's star wars of course it will sell'

I wanted to get some Kensei Japanese stuff, pretty pricy. Around 8.50 euro a mini I think.

Waited freaking ages for my son who is coeliac to get a consultant appointment. Took time off work, took him out of school and drove about 30 mins to hospital.
"Oh sorry that clinic was cancelled - didn't you get a letter"
Obviously not if I turned up! Bloody NHS

I find your lack of faith entirely justified.
Gotta say, of all the eras they could have picked for ground battles, Rebellion vs Empire isn't the most interesting. To me, anyway.
Not when we saw the Clone Wars with masses of robots and big, weird-looking vehicles.

Yeah, I think the fanbois will happily pay those prices. Hell, I would, and I'm not really even a SW fanboi. Call it a flashback to my childhood, though I was born after SW:New Hope came out.

I think they're chasing the dollars from the folks that saw the original trilogy in theater. Besides, we all know that it'd be great if a movie about the Clone Wars mentioned in "Ep4" ever happened.

I will say only three words: The Old Republic.
Just see the youtube videos for that MMO's cinematic intros, and tell me it's not the most interesting... the republic, the dark side, the imperium, the "alliance" of Sith and Jedi against the Eternal Imperium, the smugglers and other unaligned factions...

Yeah, the Star Wars RPG I was in was set in the Old Republic. Was much fun running a Mandalorian with a Corellian Soldier in the same party. Mandalorian: "Last time I was on this planet, I was hot-dropping in."
Corellian: "Funny, last time I was on this planet, I was shooting at Mandalorians as they hot-dropped in!"
M: "I hope your accuracy has improved since then."
    whole table: LOLOLOLOL

I used the old Knight Santiago spitfire model, he had a blaster and a vibroblade.

Facspace has been bombarding me with adverts for online clothes stores, and the products keep getting more and more weird.
Today it shows me a sports nightie...

I think it exists so that all the 'gangstas' who wear their jeans halfway down their legs can prove their not in fact a midget on the shoulders of another midget

My uncle-in-law finally got fed up with the fact that someone else on the island now drives a bright yellow Hummer 2 and people kept thinking he was places he wasn't (the fact there are 2 yellow Hummer 2s on an island with 50,000 population is a WTF in and off itself).

So he got a vinyl wrap for it, and decided arctic camo was the way to go.

    In a tropical country.

Where it has never snowed since it was discovered 500 years ago.

At least people will know it's him

So the other day my entire department got called "a bunch of dumb motherfuckers" by one of the managers where i work, which was fun. what happened was said manager (in charge of shipping, receiving, and the warehouse) decided to change our SOP with regards to how we receive shipments of new products and no consult or even tell anyone until it became a problem for him. SOP was that receiving puts the items into a an inspection location in our software, drop the physical material in front of our inspection area and someone from the quality department (myself or one of my two coworkers) and engineering check it out make sure its good accept/reject and then it gets moved into stock. neat and tidy makes sure nothing goes in inventory that shouldn't. they have decided that instead they shall bin locate everything before hand and even in some cases put things into stock so that when we did our part and move them into the generic location we always use these parts would get lost in the system, and (briefly) physically.

and how does he deal with this? by calmly telling us that this is whats going on? heavens no, thats what a well adjusted and professional individual would do. instead he fires off a few blame throwing emails, gets in a heated conversation with my boss and then storms off swearing within earshot of 2/3rds of the people he's angry at (though with his volume i'm sure some of the production floor heard him too). needless to say we informed HR, they where not pleased. made the rest of the week rather fun let me tell you.

Went for a date on Friday with a total qt, nearly 6 foot tall, professional model, great sense of humour etc.

Anyway, it didn't work out, she didn't dig me like that. Which sucked. But then on Saturday, the Adepticon Seminar was up and previewed the Tunguska stuff, and instantly, my bummed out-ness disappeared.

Point is, I'm a complete fucking nerd, my God.

There was this great line from comedian Redd Foxx whereupon breaking up with a woman he held up his hands, saying "What do I need you for, anyway? When I got both of these in perfect, working condition?"

Haha that's true! But it's not quite the same is it...

Anyway she was basically a goddess and I am a mere mortal. Still, couldn't hurt to try, and she was cool to hang out with.
