So I'm having a couple games vs. a friend on Saturday and I'm probably going to give my Vanilla CA a whirl. I haven't played them before. In fact, my order arrived today and I've got a bunch of assembly to do. ... We're playing Show of Force and Frontline. Show of Force Centerline mission - Incursion style 2 Panopoly, 1 antenna - Control the antenna at end of game (2) - Control with Tag (3) - Kill more than the enemy (2) - Kill the data tracker (3) No classifieds Can activate the panopoly to get items for a short skill. Data tracker required (model to be hidden) Focus on: Killing the datatracker Kill the enemy Controlling the antenna at end of game (hidden Malignos?) Know I'm going to cap out at 7pt Not order intensive. Requires no buttons or specialists. Murder things. Frontline Outside deployment is divided into three horizontal 8" zone. Requires more points in any given zone at end of game. - Dominate nearest zone (1) - Dominate central zone (3) - Dominate central with data tracker (1) - Dominate farthest zone (4) - 1 Classified (1) - or Intelcom Datatracker required (tough model that can move) Focus on: Killing models and moving up. Scenario is all about mobility and points in zones. Baggage counts as extra. Specialists not required if I take Intelcom, which I will use to press for 4pts. ... I've been playing with a list and I've come up with this.. Charontid MSV3 HMG Lt (2/79) Q-Drone HMG (1/26) E-Drone (0.5/28) Speculo BS (1/34) Daturazi Chain/Grenades (14) Daturazi Chain/Grenades (14) Ikadron, Baggage (9) Shrouded Minelayer (0.5/25) Shrouded Minelayer (0.5/25) Malignos Hacker (0.5/41) 6 SWC, 295pts, 10 orders. Datatracker will be the Ikadron or Charontid depending on what I need. Shrouded will be zone control/deterrents. Malignos will objective grab or be a pain in the butt. I feel like the entire army rests on the shoulders of the Charontid and I suspect my list is total garbage. I'm used to playing 14-16 order Tohaa. How would you build and play for the scenarios?
