Including the named Orc and Warcor, we're still at least 2 troops short Even USA had 17 troop choices pre Rosie. Don't worry there will be more stuff to come.
Yeah i reckon there's more coming. We thought TAK was reasonably complete, without more units, and they're still getting piles upon piles of new units, characters, etc.
Are you okay mate? -Bulleteer -Peacemaker -Sierra -Pathfinder -Fugazi -Mulebot -Palbot -Techbee -Warcor -Machinist -Trauma Doc -Bipandra -Fusilier -Helot -Kamau -Zulu Cobra -Echo Bravo -Orc -Character Orc -Cutter -Croc =21 but 27 in TJC (most recent complete new) 29 in JSA (2nd most recent) 27 in NCA 29 in MO 27 in SAA I'm disregarding the Merc NAA Sectorials as they break a couple rules and have a lot of crossover in single troops and added versatility with mixed Links. For classic Sectorials I'd maintain we're definitely a couple short 25 seems a given, 27 seems likely. Most likely at least a "big" surprise (second TAG or a Varuna Guard HI), something else and probably a couple Mercs/Aleph loaners. Wouldn't be surprised about Locust/Black Friar either, they fit the clandestine/anti terror theme (no idea if their fluff is a fit for Varuna). Although if all the new troops have useable Profiles, you're already a lot more versatile than the other Pano Sectorials. Pretty sure that if Varuna gets something not usually associated with PanO like Eclipse Smoke, they're gonna keep that a secret till the last second.
Your post originally mentioned the amount of drop troops in Ariadna, I assume you initially missed my MI/LI qualifiers.
ORC + ORC character surely isn't going to be the sole HI option they get, you'd expect more than that, especially since there's just the one TAG troop associated with Varuna.
The RPG manual states that the order of Santiago has an orbital fortress on a nearby planet to monotor traffic in the system. So it looks like there are no knights for Varuna and I think it's better this way :)
Actually wouldn't complain about AVA1 Santiagos. Would let the guys see some use. They aren't bad, It's just their competition making life hard for them.
It'd be a good place to drop just the one. Hell, you could drop them and Order Sergeants with "Ava 3 Core" similar to Fusiliers in MO. Just exclude the Spec Sergeants from the list of Order Sergeants in the Sectorial.
Techincally yes, there is two. There is the Teutonic Order, which is a Paradiso unit. Not sure if they'll incorporate it, but I read it as Varuna kind of got all the Paradiso units so to speak. And then there is an orbital that the RPG book mentions that the Knights of Santiago have, but as @Teslarod mentioned it is not likely. Though I'd be fine with Varuna being a secular sectorial.
Maybe invincible army is the SECOND to get heavy AD and the EB is the first heavy drop infantry...because CB loves those sweet, Sweet Yu-Jing tears
