I asked to some and I got an answer similar to @psychoticstorm was saying below... To not have all models assembled or painted... but then my question... why then , are people playing shindenbutai XD those are too new. JSA players were faster?? Really?? XD It could be for a few but in general... Don't know Rick, it looks false hehe. Missions I don't think were any specially hard for Kestrel or Pano. Even Capture and Protect I wouldn't say is hard for Kestrel having Beasthunters with 12" Movement and camo marker, or similar but with the banshee. For what I was told I will add they don't want truly to play with KFC, so they choose other things. It wasn't a matter of bad or good. Btw, how are the KFC profiles working on Vainilla, I played Vainilla, but no KFC profiles are presents (I'm in love with Joan+Maximus and friends)?? I think the "on paper" is one of the things more damage is doing to Kestrel. Regarding this I have a funny thing to tell: I exchange some Kestrel lists with a player, didn't see never the neurokinetic Black AIR in his lists while he say the profile is too OP... well, he play a Feuerbach Griffin instead. Why? Because is "more flexible", but even while not playing BlackAIR he is still saying BlackAIR is OP. And I could say is not a thing with a particular player, I found at least 3 or 4 with same perception of blacAIR is OP, but they don't include it because Griffin is "more flexible". Really? Maybe is because BlackAIR isn't so good as you though and say... Those times when reality is showing us a thing but we refuses to see it. I agree, Griffin is more flexible and for that, a better choice for a tournament, where you don't know against you will be playing. Plus 2W+courage did the trick to have a better ARO piece. While I think KFC is good, in Pano terms, isn't the beast many players thing it is, the bigger difference with other armies of Pano is KFC has access to cheap and expendables profiles in the midfield, which never had before. Even the thing is infiltrators Jackals aren't as good as their cousins in other factions, daylamis, for example, camo marker and being cheaper...however Jackals did the trick in KFC making that not going first isn't so hard, plus doing some "menace" if going first. @psychoticstorm what profiles did you have in mind when you said "on paper"??
Kestrel new troops are doing really well in vanilla. I almost always want to play Blink and Banshee. Fennec forward observer, hacker, and thunderbolt are great profiles (in the order I want to play). Crux and Hetkari did all the job I wanted from them. Magistrates are both good LT and active LT enabler. I haven’t tried Redeye, Scarecrow, and Griffin, but that’s not because they are bad but because they look pretty straight forward. The profiles most underperformed were parachutist Black A.I.R. and HRMC Drummer, but the former didn’t have great target against JSA Oban opponent with a lot of HIs and the latter got critted. So they seem to have potential.
So, as someone who was slowly painting through a list of models for NCA, including the beautiful Uhlan I spent many hours painting.. I feel a little dejected. I can use the models in vanilla, sure, but the uhlan has been removed from the game. It'll stand in as a squallo mk 2, but what about the squallo I also bought? That's on a larger base, so I guess it'll be my cutter. These are both TAGs I would have bought, but likely won't now. Removing TAGs from the game, given the commitment to painting such a larger model, and the expense, just feels bad.
Probably player mindset, but also PanOceania has a lot of sectorials that offer variable gameplay, JSA went from these are the only units we have for many many years to suddenly 3 sectorials (yes I count Generic as a setorial now) this is a big change. It is a good question as I have not tried KCF yes I can only theorize, but experience says profiles that are much talked of, in this example Black A.I.R., Hetkari, Drummers tend to be overestimated and or hard to fit in lists, on the other hand profiles nobody talks about like the aforementioned Griffin Feuerbach tend to be silent hits when the lists start to see actual gameplay. Nice work, I intent to use mine as another Tikbalang.
I played them on vPanO except Griffin FB and the followings are my opinion. Black air might be overestimated, especially parachutist. Neuro sniper did fine for me, no more no less than expected. Hetkari did better than I expected. It was not a profile easy to grasp how good it is, but it worked perfectly in FtF gunfights. Drummer feels ok, but heavy gun profiles feel glass cannony and I don't prefer them (such as Karhu FB). Griffin FB is not talked because we all know how good they are and easy to expect their performance, not because they are bad.
