I upgraded the two of the shaolin monks to DA CCW and changed the flash bot for a baggage bot.
I like it but I have to say I'm a bit afraid of all the HI being hacked. A ninja can hopefully assassinate some specialists.
•Baggage - Not really, just kill harder. It's a nice perk to have if you were already taking a baggage bot, but it's nothing worth prioritizing. Taking away enemy points to control a region is worth more than bringing extra of your own, because it denies your opponent the ability to control where their points go. •Breaker/Viral - They're nice to have if you fear the furforce, but they're not necessary. Weight of fire will do the job well enough, and you don't want to prioritize these to the detriment of the real meat of your army. •Hacker Protection - Marker state is all you realistically get for this. Shang Jisus duo can do a bit, but it's not bankable. •Camo or hard to kill Lt. - Vanilla has literally the best Lt in the game. •Assassins of your own - Another easy one for Vanilla and White Banner. The list you posted there again has some real problems. Your primary group is starting with 5 regular orders on the table. If you go first, that means you'll have 3 regulars to spend. Furthermore, look at the models that you're running. How many of them would you really expect to have the position and inclination to spend orders doctoring? The Hac Tao is about it, and he's self-sufficient enough that you really shouldn't have to rely on that. Su Jian is hacker bait. He's great, but he's easy prey if you're dealing with an oppressive hacking meta and they get turn 1. Monks are great, but 3 feels a bit like overkill. You've got a bunch of other stuff that needs doing, and regular orders that need generating. Your DZ level defense should be covered by Kuang Shi, who'll do the double duty of generating your orders. You really shouldn't need more than a couple in vanilla to do the jobs that you'd want monks specifically for. Here's a revision of one of my original vanilla lists that adds Lunah. You can replace the flashbot with the LSG baggage bot, although I'd consider the flash pulse more important. You can just swap the Daofei with a Su Jian if you're inclined towards that. If you do that, there's value in changing the flashbot to a Long Ya. I dislike this iteration for Cryo though, you need more specialists. So you can make one separate list for FF. Even without specialist you can achiev a lot of COs one can be used to put points in a sector and secure HVT is always a option. In WB you have good access to camo specialist. In active most of time enough. Lots of mime-6 will give you a hard time, send in the Shaolin Haris ;-) Then a Nomad rich enviroment is ideal to always park some deployment zone watchers like Kuang Shi. Harder in IA or WB, because Shaolin will haris the way up the board and Hundin is kinda expensive ... in IA this could go bad with a lone camo marker in the DZ that has written Lt. on it ;-)
Just to note NCO can only use the Lt. if they are in the same combat group. I don't see the difference much. group 8 will be brought down to 6. Some things like baggage and breaker are not really needed I guess. But luckily the troops with them are not bad. Lunah is fanatstic no matter what. Three Shaolin because I had pts left over. What else am I going to get for under 5 pts? Warcore and that's about it.

Mahtamori already commented on the NCO clarification, so I'll disregard that and go straight to this one. 3 more spendable orders is huge. Especially turn one, where it's where you really need to either hit as hard as possible or gain as much of a lead on objectives as you can. Those three extra orders mean the difference between a successful and unsuccessful attack run, or a vast overextension. Your orders are your lifeblood, especially with a faction as active-focused as YJ. Turn one is the wrecking ball turn. Turn two and three are cleanup.

Here’s some lists I’ve made for the tournament. First off: Vanilla. This is for the specialists missions, Cryogenics and Frontline. Frontlline doesn’t need a lot of specialists but it does have 4 classified missions. Note: Crygenics has Master Breacher (Lei Gong) and +1 Move. Frontline has Decompression Both missions get a defensive turret I’ve got 1 HD, 1 KHD, 1 EVO, 1 CoC, 1 Doc, 1 medic, 1 ENG, 2 Elite, 1 Vet/character, 2 MSV, 1 D-charges Lu Duan in all of the missions will probably disguise as a Baggage bot. Hac Tao and Lei Gong for specialist hunting. Liberto to cause trouble. Mine the area. Ye Mao will go into Cybermask and jump around. I’m debating on changing Lei Gong to the SMR instead. He doesn’t need CoC for classified because he’s already a veteran. However, then he can’t do the Tech Coffin. I might drop the Warcore to give him the SMR. For the Tournament Specialist, I think you really need to find the points for at least one anti-armor weapon. There is a chance a TAG will be able to lock you down. Also, you probably change the monstruckers to the 12 point version: with drop bears, chain rifle, and smg, they are such a steal and toolbox.
Thanks, I was thinking that too about anti-armor. I took that monstrucker because he's the only one with D-Charges. Otherwise, I agree about the 12pt one. Could of course go down to the mech eng. but I like the climb plus.
I met up with our best player last night and we went over my lists and did a "learning game" I'm actually going with White Banner. Even though we were doing a learning game, against SSS, he didn't soft ball it. This was the force I played. It was doing pretty well but we had to leave due to store closing. I just want to point out that both the specialist lists do have a massive obvious lt. Syndrome. That is something one should be aware of and has to play around. I actually do like jing qo together with the shaolin as she brings a gun and a very mobile spec OP but i understand that she is expensive compared to kai.
I'm going to be testing out the below for Cryogenics tonight. I played the same mission on the weekend with Shasvastii and managed to get tie. This is a tough mission due to having the most points in a single quarter. I feel like you need to concentrate movement into the center so that that you can go wherever the HVT pops up. It was fairly easy with Shas due to having a lot of Infiltration and and forward deployment. I don’t have much infiltration now. I had good success with a Tiger paramedic, "stealing" a Techcoffin from the opponents side (or go in later, if the opponent tries to do the same and spares the coffins on his (her) side). Furthermore I use Qo as a Masterwhatever cause the can actually shoot and dodge - just take care of shok ammo. More paramedics are also recommended.
When I played Cryogenics (with White banner) I infiltrated Guilang to one of the opponents' tech coffins, and used the mobility of Ye Mao to grab mine fast and move to the one that was not contested by anyone.
