Let me see if I got this bases on the answer they scratched out. If I have a 5man link with a Sensor I can triangulated fire a discover, medkit, forward observe at +1B and +3 BS Mod?
No. Triangulated Fire is an Entire Order Skill, so can never benefit from the Fireteam Burst Bonus, as that only applies to Short Skills. It also can never benefit from the +3 MOD because it ignores all MODs but it’s own. Discover is still not a BS Weapon or described as a BS Weapon, so cannot be combined with Triangulated Fire in any way.similarly, Discover can’t benefit from the Burst Bonus because it’s not a BS Weapon, and doesn’t actually have a Burst value, it’s just a WIP Roll.
Triangulated fire + Forward observe (short skill and bs attack) in a 5man link is still burst 2, correct? Would the -3 to BS from triangulated apply to the WIP roll for forward observer?
Forward Observer's stat line specifies: " Technical Weapon. This weapon can make BS Attacks, but uses the WIP Attribute in place of BS. When using this weapon, consider all rules and MODs that would affect the trooper's BS as affecting his WIP Attribute instead. " So the -3 MOD gets applied to the WIP roll.
