Alright, finally had time to sit down on my laptop and add the list codes. To make it easier to digest, I decided to move the tournament report to a separate post. Here it is, this time with lists: Tournament Report Auxbot's Call Vol. 5 This was a three round tournament in a city close to Munich (Augsburg, hence the wordplay in the tournament name). There were 26 players, the mission lineup was pretty simple and used standard ITS with no modifications: Round 1: Supremacy Round 2: Supplies Round 3: Firefight I split my lists between Missions this way (fireteams in green): For Supremacy & Supplies Supreceptormacy ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 9 1 KERAIL PRECEPTOR Submachine Gun, Smoke Grenades / Kobra Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 22) LIBERTO (Minelayer) Light Shotgun, Shock Mine / Pistol, CC Weapon. (1 | 8) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Round 1: Supremacy v/Corregidor I won the Lt roll and chose deployment, since Supremacy is heavily second player favored and I wasn't too afraid of CJC's alpha striking capabilities. My opponent didn't bring massively scary pieces either – no TAG and no McMurrough – and so all he managed to kill in his first turn was one of my Symbiobeasts with his Bandit Minelayer. He also revealed an Intruder sniper, who managed to put a wound on my Sukeul ML, but nothing more. He left his Haris of Señor Massacre, a Lobo NCO, and Lupe Balboa in the midfield, possibly in the hope to contest the quadrants, but they all died to my Kerail, including the Bandit, whom he had put in suppressive fire. My Sukeul HMG killed hid Wildcat HRL and one of his Jaguars. Then I dropped in my Gao-Tarsos, who flubbed his roll and had to superjump up the side of the board. He killed a Moran and a Daktari, but failed his assassination attempt on his Lt. Turn two saw a Hellcat drop in my DZ and fail to kill anything before dying in ARO and the same thing happening to his second Moran. I killed Jazz and the second Jaguar with my HMG, then finished off the Intruder with the Kerail. My opponent had at least activated two consoles, making it a 10-2 victory Round 2: Supplies v/vanilla Yu Jing The bad thing about a big win in round one is that you likely have to play against other high scoring players in round two. This was no different, and I had to go against one of our local top players, who handed me a blank courtesy list. I won the Lt roll again and, not willing to allow him to snag all the boxes from my undefended midfield, I took first turn. I immediately screwed up by bringing in my drop troop too early and on the wrong side, and everything went downhill from there. My Sukeul HMG was unable to take down Major Lunah and died in ARO, my Gao-Tarsos was lynched by a Ninja KHD, and my AROs taken care of by a Hac Tao HMG and a Daofei AP Spitfire. To make things short: I ended up managing to grab one box with Aelis Keesan and making one classified. My opponent graciously decided to forfeit his third turn in hopes of not having to play against the other top player of our local meta (in his own words: "When we play, whoever goes first wins. It's boring.") He could have easily stomped me and given me a 1-10 loss, but that way it ended in a 3-6 loss Round 3: Firefight v/Svalarheima The good thing about winning your first and losing your second game is that there's no pressure going into the last game :D My opponent was someone I hadn't played before, but who told me he had been playing since N3 and had slight Tohaa PTSD. Yet everything he did, from the list he chose to his deployment and in-game decisions betrayed that sentiment to be honest. He told me he had played a Jotum list in the previous game, but he didn't bring it, even though a Jotum is one of the hardest counters to Tohaa. Instead, he deployed a list with only twelve orders and Uma Sørenson as his (very obvious) Lt. I won the initiative roll a third time, took first turn, and hoped he would at least deploy her safely. Nope, he put his entire force on one side and Uma all the way in the middle where she was almost unprotected from drop troopers coming in from the back table edge. Which, after I had disposed of his AROs, I did. Gao-Tarsos came in, killed Uma, game kinda over. He never recovered from that and didn't manage to do more than one classified, granting me another 10-1 victory End result With such high scores in two games and barely any losses in VP except for the second game, this was enough to get me to 5th place, which I was very happy with. Everyone before me was one of our local heavy hitters, except for my opponent from round two. Not only did his plan not work and he had to fight the guy he was trying to avoid anyway, he also lost that third game, and with the forfeited points from round two he actually placed 6th. So I acknowledge that my 5th place was more or less gifted to me by him (apart from the fact that someones tournament performance is highly arbitrary anyway), but it felt good nonetheless :) That's it! Hope you liked it :)
That is a fantastic model, really well painted, I have her on my Druze because well she is such a great model and should see the table from time to time.
