Chaksa's have a special place in my heart, as they were the first aliens I used in my little Infinity RPG campaign. Lovely work!
Yes, in SWF there's really no reason to ever field one. In vanilla Tohaa they can at least proxy as Chaksa Auxiliar. I so hope they'll give the Longarms something that makes them a more viable choice in N5. I love these models, there's just so little reason to ever play one. Nearing the end of my Tohaa backlog with this second Kaauri. A fellow Tohaa player told me two Kaauri are staples of all of his Tohaa lists, but so far I haven't found a way to include two of them without sacrificing something else I like more. Still, now at least I can :D And here are the two buddies together:
Well they look great so that is one reason, I too hope they get better in N5. Nice Kaauri by the way.
Thank you! Yeah, I hope N5 does something for them. Wouldn't be surprised if the profiles just got removed from the game entirely though. They're a unit not a lot of people would mourn. Anyway, here's the last mini I painted up for the upcoming tournament, the Kriigel with Breaker Combi Rifle. Not that I ever need one, but he came half-painted by my friend, so I thought I'd keep him as a Sakiel proxy or an HVT. Still not 100 percent at studio level quality, but maybe it's enough to let me participate in the beginner category of Corvus Belli's next painting competition? Yes, I'm still furious about that...
Axl is also currently one of the world's top ITS players, he's everywhere. I don't really think that spiral profiles are going to disappear en masse, CB is going to need miniatures that have already been produced for its essential range and SP comes from the era of digital sculpting.
If the Spiral exclusive loadouts make it into Tohaa, that would be cool. Then my Taagma sniper could stop being a proxy And who knows, maybe even Chaksa Longarms will finally get good and my friend can use this last one that I painted for him in his SWF without feeling bad :D
I love this painting sheme. Would you be so kind and name paints you have been using. In one of the previous post You descriped the green/torquise parts. Can you share other? Like blue skin, face, armor etc?

I have a tournament coming up, so I decided to paint up a couple more units that feel like they have lots more play in N5. One of them: The Kerail Preceptor. Here's the first Symbiobeast:
Thank you! If you like patterned carapaces, I have a treat for you :) For this Symiobeast, I used the artwork on the box as a reference. It's a shame the original artwork is nowhere to be found on the internet, so I took a picutre: I tried to stick to this as much as possible, but I ran into trouble with the claws fading into dark – it didn't fit the pose of the model. So I changed the gradients a bit and instead made it more parallel to the carapace. I also slightly converted this Symbiobeast, because I'm already using the same one as a Motorized Bounty Hunter. Repositioned the arm and the tail a bit and gave it a different tactical rock to give it some more variety. Here's a side by side: And finally, the gallery view:
Every Symbiobeast needs a Kerail Preceptor. I converted mine with the spare head from the Greif Operator: And here's the whole team:
man I absolutely love your Tohaa. Its very close to the box art probably closer to the box art than my Yu Jing. One thing I noticed when I saw Angel's models in real life was that his models were much much darker than I thought. I also think he doesnt paint most if any of the corvus belli models anymore. Have you seen any of the studio models in real life?
Thank you, and that's very interesting! I've never seen any of the studio models in real life, no. And yes, Angel no longer paints for CB. I heard they let him go after he started painting only the front sides of minis because CB often didn't take more than one picture per mini XD Anyway, I painted more stuff for the recent tournament. One of them was this Kosuil, simply because Kosuil are so cheap (and good) now: Side note: While I'm happy with him, I was very surprised after taking photos to see how much darker he turned out compared to the one my friend painted and which I tried to emulate when I started my Tohaa. Something seems to have happened to my recipe in the meantime:
Thanks guys! Here's the last mini I painted for the tournament, the humble Wardriver. I wanted this mini for four years and finally got her, so I tried my best to do the studio job justice:
