Well, they say that Igao gains Pherotactics: Mirrorball, cool stuff I have good experience with the greanades, very very good experiences :D (Also with the Kotail E/M granades) if the objective is clear and it worths, i can spend easy 3 orders to try to do a succesfull speculative roll ^^ I also think Clipsos performs better in my lists ^^ because he have a solid function
Stun grenades are another piece of equipment that seems to be missing from the leaks.... Both Igao and Hector no longer have them, or the nomad units that generally carry them.
oh? Meh... Why delete the most flavour things of the game, that makes posible win or turn the tide of the battle using your brain and not doing "move+shoot" all the time? >.< Meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh
Hector has E/M Grenades to replace them, Wu Ming have E/M to replace their Nimbus, Patsy has regular Grenades rather than Nimbus ones. Outside of swinging an ARO match for B4+ vs a Link and abusing DTWs Nimbus wasn't all that great compared to other Grenade types tbh. Getting another ammo type to replace Nimbus is usually a net gain for most Profiles.
Just went through the Spiral Corps profiles and the one thing that immediately struck my eye was that the Diplomat just got way better by getting a random Pheroware: Eraser without additional cost.
Cool, really unexpected. And there are some nice changes, like the Kerail obtaining Super-Jump. On the other hand, looks like they still have a lot of bug-fixing to do. For example, when the Army got released today the Kiel-san was by fat the best profile in the game, as it's Inactive Symbiont Armour profile was exactly the same as the Active Symbiont profile (so a four- wound HI). EDIT: Oh, and the Draal replaced Stratuscloud for DDO. Sad, a linked Draal with Stratuscloud was probably among the best anti-Fireteam tools in the game.
Kiel-saan was JUST fixed for me, but bio-engineers were lost in the process Definitely meant assault pioneers not bio engineers
So... no more nullifiers for our beloved artichokes? Is there any hope to see them again on tohaa builder release?
Since all of our regular sources of them have lost them I'd reckon they are gone for good, unfortunately.
My bad for voicing opinions I'll avoid it in the future. Mimetism -6 is good compensation for losing Stratuscloud, and as the rule has been removed I'm content with the replacement. But for me it is much less effective for what myself, and I imagine other people were using it for which is fighting link teams, MSV or not. On top of losing Nullifiers and Nimbus there's a good chunk of tools that have left, not without compensation but this definitely feels like a big sideways shift overall.
I don’t think any unit in any army has nullifiers anymore in N4. I think they just don’t exist anymore.
Another thing I really like is the new Mirrorball option for the Igao. With the changes to Mirrorball (it creates an eclipse zone now afaik), the igao can get in touch with almost every unit if you are willing to invest the orders. That's probably going to be my answer against TAGs in the future. At least for spiral, I don't mind the Draal having ODD. A core linked ODD APMMR is hella dangerous. Don't know about it in vanilla, yet.
im gonna miss stratoscloud, for me it was a very effective tool to negate core links, and without it its going to be harder yes i could go with the draal in tricore (now it cost less cap..) but meh..
