The Acheron wormhole is also much larger than Daedalus, which makes the blockade much harder.

The other matter is that the Daedalus Gate is on lockdown at both ends, as "Shasvaasti" Infiltration was detected on both sides of the wormhole.

Daedalus Gate is non-functional on the Humans Sphere end due to sabotage by the Triumvirate. It was sabotaged due a few factors, one being the lack of a lock down in the face of possible Shasvastii infiltration through the gate, and another being the possibility of greater Tohaa military involvement within the Sphere which would constrain the Triumvirate's movements, and jeopardize their secret agenda.

Nah it's 15% survival for the Combined Army coming through that wormhole. They're yoloing it into the human sphere with very little regard for casualties.

Gates are pretty much required for wormhole travel. In the Human Sphere, most wormhole travel uses the Circular network, but there are specialized military ships that can use gates without Circulars.

Glad to see I'm not the only one outright pessimistic about the Tohaa as a factions future.

While I can understand your pessimism, I think that Asteroid Blues is actually going to be the real test.

There were still a solid number of Tohaa entries at Interplanetario, and overall numbers still seem fairly robust.

If things crash down to nothing in the global campaign however...

    Yeah.

I'd rather be glad if we all have nothing to worry about Tohaa's future

I think what we have right now is what we'll have in N4. We won't lose anything, but we won't gain anyhting either. I doubt they will even change symbiont armor and pheroware in N4.

Vanilla Tohaa is not supported (although not discontinued as a list) and won't be coming back. Spiral Corp. will get nothing new the same as all NA2 lists since their release. For example, Starco, Druze, Ikari have not changed at all since inception.

I think rather than updating an existing NA2 list they would rather just create a new one. With a different mash up of factions & characters.

Why it sounds as bad as removing Tohaa from the game? W/O extension, Tohaa and SC are just dead in future, it requires new releases to just keep their being. I dont care much about other NA2 armies, they're even looks like something only for fun but JSA and SC are exceptions due their lore and they really will need new releases.

But this may be just a bit paranoid on some level, maybe they will make some new releases at least for SC and let be honest, for now SC is just released and it've got few new sculpts and will receive one more, so for now...looks somehow good enough for now. Lets just finger crossed in a hope that everything 'll be ok.

    PS
If there will be some Q/A or interview with CB it would be good to ask what future extensions of Tohaa and SC we should await

Bear in mind that NA2 as a concept hasn't even existed for 18 months yet, so the fact they've not had any updates is kind of unsurprising!

CB have recently undergone a big expansion phase for the entire game. Between Uprising, 3rdO, and Daddy's Fall the game is a lot larger than our was, and in hindsight this is because the next year is the leadup to N4.

21 days ago we didn't even know N4 was in the works, as it stands they're not ready to talk about specifics yet, and August is a busy month due to Gen Con, Interplanetario, and ITS Season 11. September/October will be mostly centred around Defiance as the details of the Kickstarter are hammered out and then you have the campaign itself stretching into November, then December which is full of public holidays.

Realistically we'll start seeing details about N4 start to creep out in the new year. Adepticon is probably the earliest we'll start to see concrete details.

On the topic of NA2 armies getting updates - did Ikari have Libertos in it at release? (Did Libertos exist at release of Ikari?)

Liberto came out with 3rdO, they were added to Ikari at this point.

I thought so, cheers. There's precedent for models being added to NA2 armies, then :)

Sorry, not a Tohaa player, but I figured an outside perspective might be useful here. My biggest problem with Tohaa in these campaigns, and probably CB's too, is that as far as the Human Sphere is concerned they are completely frakkin irrelevent. The continued fluff insistence on secret Tohaa agendas nobody knows about links them into the story, but not in a way anyone else can interact with. I actually played a battle against Tohaa during Kurage crisis, but wasn't able to think of a narrative consistent with the lore explaining why the Nomads were fighting them, so it never went up. I'd like to see Tohaa properly represented in the story, but to do that the humans need an actual reason to attack them.

Given that those elements of the errant fleet stranded in the human sphere is now functionally a militarised refugee flotilla, there's a lot that could be done narratively in terms of them trying to carve out an enclave or their own space.

And as I wrote that I realise I'd just described the faction as basically Quarians only with affinity for biotech rather than machinery, but... actually I'm pretty ok with that.

Take over some asteroid habitats, have your home away from home in the Human Sphere. Rename the system Tohaa Edge.

They have. According to fluff there is a consistent amount of Sygmaa fighting for the Combined Army, despite we still not having many Sygmaa specific troops. They have been noted to be performing sabotage and infiltration attacks faking themselves as Tohaa. I can totally see human's on certain areas attacking Tohaa on sight based on just slight suspicion of belonging to CA.

As I said to many of you, I don't will be playing nor leading Tohaa this campaign.

It seems that Tohaa now will have a Triumvirate-secret agenda to achieve and play as Spiral Corps.

As you know me, I tried to play the "good" (or less bad) Tohaa that tries to colaborate with humanity and O-12.

Vaanthar and their troops will ask assylum in O-12, far far away of Triumvirate.

    Isn't infinity about Spec-Ops?
So it might be often unclear whom you are fighting,
as you go out for a mission, rather than a war (against some certain faction).
The big war against CA is fought elsewhere.
So maybe it was Tohaa, maybe Sygmaa, maybe Spiral...
As of all the other factions:
What reason do Nomads have to attack Ariadna?
    Or JSA to fight PanO?
It is all about spec-ops, about the mission.
If another faction gets in the way, so be it...

I'm very sorry to see you move away.

The campaign won't be the same without you.

    Seriously.

But I hope you enjoy O-12 (assuming that's what you mean?).
