hehe to pass the time, when we saw the original teaser for tag raid who elses mind went to this (concept of tag squadron fights): [pic from the TAG rpg book] glad they added n4 tags but still think its a missed opportunity :P
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/corvusbelli/infinity-deathmatch-tag-raid/posts/3531215 TLDR: Metal miniatures finished and about to be shipped to China. Core book and campaigns finished, Search and Rescue book nearly finished, expected manufacturing of the boxes is July to September.
All three pages presented seem to be without errors, they seem to have made more effort than on Defiance.
For this KS, CB has shared his rulebook in order for us to proofread it, but there is only one week to do so. Pretty sure 1 week is a bit short for this, but it's something. Maybe with next kickstarter they'll even let buyers to playtest the game :D
I have had a read through everything. It is pretty good, but there are some grammatical errors and missing words in text. I have already sent an email with all the errors I could find along with suggestions for fixing them. I am not worried about the rulebook, it seems pretty solid and as an Infinity player it seems easy enough to pick up. It will be challenging for anyone outside coming in to the Infinity Universe of games, but I am pretty positive about the campaign. My biggest concern will be for the campaign and avoiding the problems that Defiance had with missions that were missing key information making playing them the first time a real challenge. I would be much more interested in checking these documents for errors.
Yeah that would be very helpful. Defiance's editing was a shitshow, and they dragged their feet on answering questions about it.
what happened to this ? too much complaints maybe ? (edit: HellLois was on sick leave) Alternatively, we did get a Megabeast Mission Set in november 2021. Its is 4 missions heavily modified from ITS missions, with a Wildcard Beasthunter FTO and, depending on mission, either a Digger or a Triphammer. So... nothing like "Thor hammer", "Prospecting crew haris", or "Snow Hunter" extras that were to come in an ITS Event Pack.
oh true! so there is still hope we see an event pack in april 2023. And as it will be after the tagraid shipment; it will be even more fun/less proxying :)
Kickstarter News from today: 4 month delay :/ not sure why the minis are partly still produced in China. There are options to produce them in Europe.
I'd guess because it's a partner they have an existing relationship with, and also because they're making all the non-miniature content too. Interesting that this update came the same day Wargames Atlantic detailed a couple of months delay with product manufactured in the US getting to Europe due to insane shipping delays. It seems costs have come down a little since 2021 but delays are still very widespread.
So happy I've not backed. Because doing it cheaper is clearly and obviously more important than delivering the product on time.
well, we can say that my medical leave affected a little bit to times :( Sorry guys. Making it more expensive would be another reason to not back it :P
Your health always matters and has to be the first priority. However - while not being sure how risky this is in the current economic enviroment - maybe CB needs to grow a bit. The workload you guys have to handle sometimes is huge and a risk by itself. Same about producing in China. I know it is cheap but it is become more and more risky (time and shipping costs) and there should be opportunities within Europe since companies in Poland and Benelux seem to produce for trading card and boardgame companies as well. Because with such long delivery times many people are considering not to pledge at all nowadays.
Sorry to hear, hope you will be better and that in the future the company will be able to afford the manpower to pick up slack for core employees when they have a medical situation. "On time but more expensive" is a way better product than "already expensive and a year late" like the price and delays of Defiance shipment.
Except he is right about that point. More production costs = more expensive KS = less backers. That's just mechanical... I think (but I may be wrong, idk) that a lot more people prefer to wait for long months rather than having to pay significantly more for the same thing.
