So... EU-based boardgame maker partnership turned out to be a big load of nothing? What a twist. Hope they at least set their dates realistically so a year delay due to logistics collapse won't surprise anyone this time.
LOL, fuck that soft plastic crap, its soapy soft details, mold lines you can't get rid of at all and the two+ year wait for this to get shipped :D The only saving grace of them not being metal would have been Siocast and it being printed in EU. Also, what's up with her head size, wtf.
Someone mentioned in the chat that the other companies cardboard stuff is all made in China anyway, so yeah guess it was a false hope. Yeah, though amusingly another campaign that added extra time during the initial kickstarter is now talking about a year delay on top of that. I had already abandoned that kickstarter beforehand, so whatever, but any deadline is a dream.
25 mm base, maybe? As in fat S2 HI. Otherwise like that Aristeia guy that go upsized (and yes, WTF, because this is supposed to be a miner with exoskeleton).
With a mining exoskeleton that doesn't support the upper half or the loads the arms are bearing, because of course the sculpt had to show off boobs with LED lights for tits. How much more puerile will those sculpts get, really?
I think that been disappointed about stuff you imagined or assumed about, without any evidence, not happening is not right. Anyway I have seen no complains about Megalodron or the latest A! sculpts, I think the mining TAGs will be fine.
Wait, wait, wait... it is established fact that Infinity females get space-shrinking armour, and everyone, male or female, space-shrinking helmets. ; ) Oh, and tiny bot legs/feet do not matter as we have seen over the years, so Infinity clearly has different physics formulas. Now it is applied to shoulders, back, etc. ; )
What are you talking about. We were told TAG Raid will be in the new Siocast, we even complained for like a week that it's not metal, but Siocast might be fine. And now it's in soft rubber :D That's because CB already stated that the Megalodron is the sculptor's love child and he's spent lots and LOTS of additional time to ensure it comes out in the best possible way. It still had small issues, but because it was a large model they were easier to fix. On small TAGs and organic sculpts like the Worm PVC will be horrendous to work with, as usual. Oh, really? From my own experience, as well as other painters, A! rubber minis were bad from the start and only got worse as the time went by. That's wishful thinking. They won't be "fine". They might make it to "barely passable unless you treat them like board game pieces and not as models for a painter. Of course it's a rhetorical question. They will get a lot more puerile, a loud part of the fanbase loves sexualized female minis. The sculptor fakes out how bloody jackets work, because the boob shape has to be preserved and showed off. It's like he's sculpting for people who are twelve, at most.
I did not say they are not, but that small is used when one would expect big. Which is rather funny on itself, because then legs and robot arms would not need to be so big, if the physics or materials are way different than what we have or can extrapolate (you know, the typical space elevator maths, where "rope" weight works against itself and things get complicated, even beyond dream materials).
Probably neomaterials ectr allow the frame to be bulky and lightweight ectr. Or aesthetics, it looks nice as is.
Of course, bulky is great for mining. Ask any miner or speleologist how fun is to get trapped in a tight hole. More like this. Look over function.
Well, if the mines are enough that the TAGs can be at the face, then a suit like not-Ripley's would also work fine. Also different parts of the mine, different requirements. Places like the Cerro Rico not everyone does the same job in the same spots.
Damn, if they are going full chinese plastic, id say please design a ton of stretch goals and other tags/beasts. It should be cheaper than defiance even though that was in house.
The men are mostly proportioned like gorillas too. All of the minis have pretty exaggerated sexual characteristics. BUT, compared to other games (KDM etc), it's not actually as noticeable.
the plastic isn't going to be the CB version.... once again every new piece of information that comes out for tag raid makes me less enthused.
Not at all. There's a lot of "fit / buff / slim guy in uniform" stuff, just look at the abundance of light infantry - the Domovoys and Kasyms are rather the exception. When compared to the literal "tits out, pussy for face, beniz for hair everywhere" game that is KDM, nothing will be oversexualized because KDM is simply grotesque. The absolute puerile "male gaziness" of quite a few of the sculpts is a fact and you don't even need to go into the pinups or for the absurd Techbee to see that. And pointing out "male butts" doesn't change this fact either.
