QANTAS used to use it in the engineering shop to remove paint from aircraft panels. Full, forced-air respirators, spray on painted surface, wipe off - take paint with your swipe. There also used to be a nail polish remover in the 80s called "Swirl off" that used it. Dip finger in tub, swirl around, nail polish gone. Bad news: you're going to get cancer of the finger.
