Since there is no real dedicated place for posting Battlereports for Durgama I will try here! First is the prelude narrative before the report to give some context to the story:

PS: Yes I am insane enough to name all of my individual models with respective cultural names and ranks dependent on military branch they come from.

The bridge of the HNS adh-Dhi’b was peaceful, with various panels and holographic lights playing around the walls and ceiling. ‘Aqid Fayaz Aafah sat in the captains chair, reviewing a report that had recently come to him from engineering. He noticed that the usual light chatter shifted tone ever so slightly suddenly. He began closing his report as his second in command approached.

“’Aqid, we approach Concilium Prima. Initial reports detail a landing of a Morat contingent. Local Hawwa’ units have confirmed these reports.”

Fayaz nodded and stood up, “Shukran, forward view.”

With a brief flurry of movement from the pilot, a great view of a planet, with twin rings, appeared at the front of the bridge. Even from their distance, Fayaz could see increased activity in the space around the planet.

“We are going to call to battle stations, Ra’id. Engage sensor suites in active mode, and be on the look out for Shasvastii stealth shuttles. Engage infowar and quantronic protocols, close public inbound traffic, encrypt, and send out decoy pings. Contact over secured channel Haqqislam High Command of the sector.”

The bridge suddenly burst into activity as the different departments began their activities to enter a war zone. Sitting back Fayaz muttered, “Bismallah…”.

The doors to the bridge slid open with a hiss as Ra’id Maih Aaffah came onto the bridge, followed by her own second in command, a man of imposing stature only gained through the Runihura treatments, Rashid Toma. As she stopped to take in the bridge, a few Sekban naval security entered the bridge behind her, taking their positions.

“’Aqid Aafah, are we approaching Concilium now?” Maih asked, approaching the captain’s chair.

“Sister, with how fast you arrived on bridge, I can only assume you were listening at the door.” Fayaz quipped.

The tall Khawariji gave a short chuckle as Maih responded, “I was already on my way, brother. I have a communique for your eyes and mine only.”

Fayaz stood up and straightened his naval uniform neatly, and nodded, gesturing to a small door off the bridge.

“Let us retire to my office then.”

Maih led the way through to the side door off the bridge. And took a seat by the desk taking up a good portion of the room, and brought up a message from her neurolink, and swiping it over to the external display. The unmistakable symbol of the Bahram showed first as the message played in a monotonous slightly synthetic voice.

“Ra’id Maih Affah of the Ramah Taskforce, Radzia Detachment, and ‘Aqid Fayaz Aafah of the adh-Dhi’b. You are tasked with a mission of the utmost importance. We have gained intelligence of a surviving cell of Equinox located on Concilium Prima. We know they have infiltrated the Darpan Xeno-Station as scientists and researchers. During this period of upheaval, you are to take advantage and infiltrate the facility. Eliminate these survivors at all cost. Collateral damage is acceptable. Inshallah.”

Fayaz looked to his sister as he takes a seat, pulling up a map of Durgama. Stroking his large beard, he studied the map and known facilities.

“Theres a lot of movement and a lot of chaos going on in that region with the recent Combined Army offensive. Getting to the facility I don’t think it should be too much of an issue for us. The problem is we don’t know much about the facility besides its relation to ALEPH.”

Tapping her fingers on the desk Maih contemplated, “Do you still have your girlfriend in Tunguska?”

“Which one? I have several different contacts for different tasks.” Fayaz asked matter of fact.

“We need access to deep levels of quantronic intelligence, so perhaps one working in the info vaults?”

Fayaz nodded, pulling up his contacts, “Inessa, yes. I am sure we could probably get the information we seek for free as well, considering this is dealing with ALEPH. I will reach out and see what I can find. I will send you the information when I have it. I suggest you prepare your unit. We should be able to get you planet side in the next 24 hours.”

There was a ping at the door, and Fayaz gestured it open. An officer walked in, and saluted. “’Aqib, we have information from Haqqislam High Command. They simply advised for you to proceed on you appointed mission. An airspace corridor is open. Our secondary mission is to begin our sensor sweeps and quantronic sweeps of the defense fleet, and to begin logging outbound communications.”

Standing up and sighing, Fayaz sends the officer away.

“Sister, it seems we are heading into the heart of the fire again. Inshallah.”

“Bismallah, brother.” Maih responded with a slight smile of amusement as she as well stands up.

Walking back together onto the bridge, Fayaz looked at the image of the approaching planet again, and began providing orders to the various personel. Maih left quickly with the large Khawarij to return to her Ramah unit.

Smiling as she left, Fayaz chuckled, “What a wonderful day in space.”

    --------------------------------------------------------------
As Maih Aafah entered the troops bunk space, she was intercepted by Palavi Zyah, the units Doctor and medical specialist. As she turned to follow in step with Maih, her mechanical wings slapped the wall startling a few others lounging in the area.

“Bismallah! I still am having trouble getting used to my special awareness now.” Palavi decried.

“You only just got out of physical rehabilitation, training and recovery. Give it time my friend.” Maih responded with a smile.

The events at Novvy Bangkok were especially brutal for the unit, fighting Combined Army infiltration teams in the tunnels of the asteroid for several weeks. Many in the unit will bare physical and psychological scars from that tour, but none more so that Palavi. In their last fight, she was forced to stand face to face with an Avatar of the EI. She barely survived thanks to he quick actions of the unit and the adh-Dhi’bs own speed and capabilities.

During her recovery she was tapped by the MAA for an experimental new super soldier program, run in collaboration with the Praxis Black Labs. At the time the program was simply labels Program 323, but has been dubbed at this point in time by the unit, as the Malak Program. The process provided the doctor with elements to further improve her ability in medicine by providing keener sight, steadier muscle control, increased brain synaptic functions, and improved mobility. While many of the Nomad provisions were declined as they intruded upon the Tebb al Nabi, a couple of allowances were given in the form of metal alloy infused joints and bone structures, along with the stabilizers protruding from Palavi’s back in the shape of small wings. These provided satellite uplink to orbital craft to assist in communications and recovery, and provide stabilization when moving erratically quickly. The unit was quick to dub her the Angel of Medicine, for which she despises, thus leading to unit constantly referring to her as such.

“We have our first mission don’t we?” she asked, “You have that walk.”

“I don’t have that walk, I am walking normally.” Maih sighed in response.

“No, you have a special ‘Need to get the job done!’ walk you do whenever we get a mission.”

    Maih sighed and simply nodded.

“Excellent, I will begin collecting my kit, see you at briefing.”

The doctor left quickly, waving goodbye.

Continuing to the very small hangar, Maih sent out a ping across the units net to be at briefing in 30 minutes. The hangar of the adh-Dhib was very small, maybe enough space for one medium sized shuttle and about 30 people and that was it. Without the shuttle it had adequate space for physical activities and relaxation which is why the units Radzia stealth shuttle was usually docked on a special space on the outside of the hull and moved in for operational prepartions.

At this time a few of the units soldiers, Tifah, Gregory, and Asil were teaching the Rafiq’s, and Fanous remotes a game similar to volleyball. After a run in in Novvy Bangkok with a rogue Nomad playing around with a pseudo AI, the remotes have been developing individual personalities. Task Force 29 has kept this on the down low though as its increased the remotes performance, and they have mostly been adopted as unit pets. Fayaz has expressly forbidden any of the units remotes from connecting to the ships network though.

Over the next 30 minutes people began filling into the hangar for the briefing, taking positions with their units. As the timer went off they all turned to Maih, and took seats either on crates, or the ground. The lights dimmed slightly, and a map of the Durgama peninsula displayed with multiple overlays.

“We will be working with the Bahram again. We have intelligence leading to the belief that Equinox agents have infiltrated the Darpan facility here. Our mission is simple. Get in and eliminate those agents. This is an ALEPH facility so be prepared for strong quantronic and automated defenses. Local intelligence though is showing a strong Combined Army attack on the facility as well. We will move in, eliminate any aliens we can, then hunt for those agents.”

The screen went off and the lights brightened.

“Simple mission folks. This will also be a front line mission so extra ammo, leave anything not needed for combat in your bunks. Any questions?”

Looking around, Fahim, one of the large Khawarij spoke up, “Will we have any Bahram assets?”

Maih nodded, “Yes, since this is dealing with Equinox we will have a Govad attache, and a member of the Asawira overseeing the operation for the Caliphate. Nothing else? Alright get ready. Shuttle departure is in about 24 hours. Eat sleep, and clean your equipment.”
