Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. It's super weird.

It works for the first two turns the model is on the board (your turn, when its deployed) and your opponent's turn, then it goes away.

So still no one has even tried them? That doesn't bode well.

Haven't had a game of reinforcements yet (local meta does NOT like it and refuses to play any games using it). The two things gamers hate are Status quo and change.

Might as well have these here. I really like the bots. The Artalis is not bad.

Design is pretty cool, though I'd really like Dawons to have claws. Then again, I'm a fan of idea of bringing Rakshasas into Aleph, so...

What I'm not a fan of, is the balance "fix" of making Dawons LI. This is a clumsy solution to a self-inflicted problem.

That change makes sense only if they plan to put them in vanilla. AFAIK the issue with +9CC remdriver cannot happen when you play them im ReInf.

At first I didn't like the flat forearms but now I think it's great for painting something fun. Or actually for me, decals!

Is this combo really a big deal? If someone wants to dedicate their limited resources (Points and 2/15 troop slots) for a super CC monster that has only on wound and ARM 1, more power to them.

And Dogged and Immunity Total (which doesn't help that much except for Shock). I don't mind them making it LI. I'm already used to it with things like my Su Jian or Betas.

Very long arms seems to be a design pattern in traditional japanese robot fiction. It reminds me of the robots in Laputa, or Brau 1589 and North No 2 in the recent Pluto, or the GotS JGDSF Arm Suit.

The more I see them, the more I like them. I hope they don't take years to come out with others. I want to use the Riksha as proxies for Chaksa in Starmada. The HRL would be a good proxy for the ML Chaksa. The Redfury is perfect, and the BSG is good for the Mk12 I think. If I'm going to get them I need more use for them other than Aleph. I've been concentrating on SP and we know they are not going to get them as anything other than REF.

    Wait, they're making Dawons LI?

Damn it, they're really losing it.

As for the sculpts, they're fine. Artalis and Riksha are very forgettable, and Dawons at least have cool poses, though again, why not give them built-in weapons and instead insist on silly external ones? Just missing the opportunities over and over again.

Dawons being LI feels like it's purely a game rules thing to stop them benefitting from Supportware and REMdriver, like the Su Jian and Karakuri being HI rather than REMs.

I love built in weapons for secondaries like nanopulsars, pistols, etc. but primaries should be separate.

From a logistical standpoint it gives interchangeability with your non-remote troops and also allows the weapon to be easily swapped between missions.

Practically an external weapon will be more accurate and controllable as it can be better braced with 3-4 points of contact (two hands, shoulder, and maybe cheek) plus it makes the weapon more flexible in arc of fire and you can switch shoulders to fire around cover. It also generally means the remote has two functional hands improving non-combat utility.
