Production capacity is finite and with a host of new sectorials in the pipeline it seems a case of 'needs must'.
Also while it's a bit of self fulfilling prophecy I suppose canning an already old faction has the least immediate impact on sales.

I'm happy to finally get a couple of Haris options, it's helps make MRRF more viable in the current game where every sectorial is running round with multiple mixed fireteams and vanilla armies have twice as many options as they did 4 years ago. I'm definitely going to give them a run out (hell I might even finish painting them!).

Wishlisting it would've been nice if they'd given Moblots duo and we had access to another expensive unit to give extra options in Limited Insertion games.

There's a resculpt of the Chasseur coming. The theory is they're discontinuing the current vanilla Ariadna starter so they're releasing this so people have access to the model still.

Inb4 it's the same rifle Chasseur from the old starter.

Man, do NOT toy with my hopes like that. Not at all copacetic. It would be better if it were Bakunin that got to go bang!

This is how the Exrah should have been treated, more or less. Discontinue the minis, and move the profiles into the Merc section for non ITS play only.

It does. That's a large part of what is Bakunin.

Because many players, especially new ones, shy away from armies with outdated or discontinued ranges.

Can't say I'm thrilled about this. The French were always my favorite among the Ariadnan bunch. I was holding out for a resculpt of the line. Saddens me to see them be put in the freezer indefinitely.

This isn't even remotely new to the game. Infinity has ALWAYS been about the game growing, evolving, and changing. They've been pretty clear about that from the beginning. The game will grow, the story will advance as new books are released, and the game will change to reflect what's been added/removed/altered by the fluff. It's happened before, it's happening now, it's going to happen again.

Although with the latest announcement they've accepted that previous changes have been very unopopular and promised that "When we cease the production of a particular line (such as the sectorial of Merovingia), it will no longer completely disappear from the game."

Last time I checked, the "plotline advancement" since CA's & Tohaa showing up was Uprising. And now suddenly tons of "plot advancement".

Moderation is key. Even in Bakunin they know that.

"Forgotten" as in underrepresented and rarely seen, not very visible to new players when they look for their first army, not remembered or mentioned too often by veterans asked by said new players, even when someone stumbles upon them they find models that look more and more dated when compared to new Ariadna stuff, and all these factors reinforcing each other in a loop of misery and despair. Not literally forgotten.

@Koni what if someone someone buys an out of production MRRF box from a third party a few years from now and it's missing a part? Will they be out of luck? How long can people expect support for mispacks?

No problem for mispacks, guys. Merovingia miniatures molds will be stored, so, if you get a Briscard box in 3 years and you have a mispack, just email us and we'll help you, as always ;)

I'm really happy how CB handled this one. I've been critical of the last few events and how they were presented to us. This is however the way you gracefully remove models from sale. Nothing removed in the rules/game, somethings actually gained and enough warning to allow those interested to get their stuff before its gone. Even if they never go back and redo the sectorial and they go bye forever in N4 I still won't be that sad given how much effort was put into making a smoother transition.

So, basically, everything that is happening is that MRRF is getting new profiles, link teams, and a new chasseur.

MRRF has been off the drawing board for a long time, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. However, it’s way better with open communication where CB openly says that they’re busy with other things.

I can't really see how anyone can be outraged by this...
