Stunning! Absolutely breathtaking! Loved this thread on the old forum & love it now! Excellent workmanship.
Stunning work! What colors did you choose for the copper-ish parts? I guess something like Hull Red, Mahogany Brown, Sunny Skin Tone and White with some glazes added (I just only know the Vallejo-Paints)?
Thank you LeFrank. The Basecolor is Terracotta Red from Vallejo Game Air. Highlighted with Cokum Copper from Scale75. An reddish brownish orange from Vallejo would work well too, but i had some issues diluting this colortones. Final highlights with ivory and white dots.
I must say i have very mixed feelings about them. You must differentiate their normal and fantasy range. The normal colors are very very thick. You have to apply 1 gallon Water to dillute them. And after that you still have a gel like color. Not easy to paint but the matt finish is great. The fantasy and games range is very thin and and flows very well. Totally different to the normal range. I like them more, especialy for glazing they are superb. BUT they separate brutally fast on wet palett and they dry not so matt as the normal range colors. And the coverage is more transparent. So as base colors i always prefer one coat game color opaque color than start with the scales in same color tone.
Sorry guys, im not dead but painting Warhammer stuff mainly atm. I joined the Warhammer Golden Demon in Germany, and failed as finalist without a trophy. But i really want to come back with some more Infinity stuff (because i love the minis). Seeing fantastic painted models by you guys, hyped me a lot again. I actually came across your Instagram account just last week looking for NMM recipes. Very nice work all around!
