Hey there folks, I had some views on the current state of our favorite HI!

After the Full Auto L2 nerf, I feel like the HMG is the auto-pick option now. I understand the stacking modifiers was a problem, but again, I feel it was the only thing the keeping the MK12 profile as a competitor. Now the MK12 profile just seems not worth the extra points, and the Multi-rifle is still a niche option for certain missions.

I would like to see the other profiles get some love, or even see the ML profile that was once seen in the dossiers.

I would love to hear other’s thoughts on the matter!

There's more than one Kriza profile?

The Mk12 version's 360 visor still makes it a damn good suppression piece, all things considered. And the AP/Shock capabilites of that SMG should not be overlooked, sometimes you need a scalpel, not a hammer. Plus, a three round burst of shock is handy against more than a few lighter troops.

The same with the Multi rifle, it's flexible and cheap, so a good Duo/Haris companion for the HMG and/or a Hollow.

Honestly the MK12+360+SMG at the cost of points as opposed to SWC is a pretty cool sidegrade from my point of view.
I do favor the HMG more normally but this is a pretty interesting option.

I'm more likely to take a Gecko MK12, then I get a DTW and become a specialist. Actually gives the troop a reason to spend orders.

Actually I prefer mk12 to hmg because it becomes much harder to outrange and outflank him. B4 upgrade is more valuable then B5. Unfortunately I can't fit him in tunguska list because everything is expensive af, so I stick to hmg

The MK12 needs a points drop while the HMG could use a slight bump.

Personally, I like to use the MK12 as my Lt and the HMG as a backup 'brawler'--usually duo'd with a Hollow Man.

It's in the Solved Questions and FAQ.
    1. FA2 doesn't stack with Suppression Fire
    2. You need to declare what weapon you're using when you enter Suppression Fire

Personally my main problem with Kriza is that I always play an Intruder HMG and very often they create conflict with each other xD.

I’ve only been playing with the Mk12 model since I got it with Icestorm.

So far I’m not a huge fan of the MK12, it’s OK, but have started using the 360 visor and sub machine gun more for close range where it’s vicious, particularly against lighter troops.

I recently got my HMG version and I’m expecting great things from it!

FullAuto doesn’t stack with anything so....
It’s really intersting using an haris with Kriza?
For me The real point of an haris is The burst +1 so, why playing him in a very expensive haris?

The haris can be a monstrous ARO threat, as you get +1 burst, so your pair of Kriza can easily provide major headaches without being in suppression so you get your range mod, and apply a -3 to the opponent. (Although whether this is worth the points is up for debate).

The problem I see with this reasoning (which I agree with) is that the Kriza is, by definition, a hammer. It's as unsubtle as it can be, and pretty much only exists to wreck face in the active turn. When you could stack full auto and supressive fire, it made sense to basically get an ODD trooper with burst 3 in the midfield, but as it is now I'd rather use the HMG, which is cheaper, as usually I'm strapped for points in nomads, not SWC.

Full auto only works on the active turn, so in reactive the haris is a benefit. Also you can add a hollow man hacker +tinbot to protect your Kriza from hackers and ferry a sturdy specialist across the field.

The thing is though, you never actually could since suppressive fire is an entire order skill.
You could think of it as not a nerf, but a clarification.

I would rather stay on the 'agree to disagree' band of this conversation. For me it's not a big deal that you can or can't stack it. But I do see a lack of purpose on any Kriza profile that's not the HMG, at least for nomads vanilla. Mind you I have used the MK12 profile to sucess a few times.

I can make an argument for the multi rifle one, if you want to use him for some more "sweep and clear" roles. That +1 burst and the -3 mean he can be an SWC-free red fury with more ammo options. At 50 points he ain't the cheapest option for this (hello heckler), but he can also face-tank a crit, so there's that.

The MK12/SMG....yeah. Not the biggest fan at the moment

They took off the FAQ about not stacking suppression fire and full auto, at least in the spanish version. Is there still in the english FAQs?

Also, the haris with hollow can not have a hacker, because it has to be 2 kriza+1 hollow, and you need 1 of them with the haris rule, and that would be the hollow

IMHO, the HMG is the profile to go most of the time. The MK12 pays too much for that 360º visor, but I think is a way to balance it's 0 SWC. It works in the table, but I find hard put him in my lists

Not in the FAQ at all in English, afaik.
