This video came out today on Youtube. I thought I might place it here from those history lovers in this part of the forums to enjoy.

What do you think about the actual Hashashins that existed? How do the Infinity Hassassins differ and are similar to their real world counterparts? Did this video give you any ideas on building, painting, converting, or lore of your own Hassassin force or characters?

That's one most interesting find, o father of inqisitveness!

Never had anyone call me that before so thank you for the complement. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I like history alot and it is interesting to see the actual real deal and how Infinity's version compares to them.

Well, that's an Arabic style of complementing (or not! Depending on father / brother / son of what one gets called :P). So, I considered it to befit this section of the forum :P

Well that is quite an honor then. One that I'm humbled to accept. I guess it is good to have an ethnic/cultural flair for each faction's forum. That way you can fancifully color your language/ posts accordingly.

Hey, we're the forum section who had a Bouraq Cookbook thread, and a number of recipes have been swaped and liked :)
Which is why I still consider Haqqislam to be the best faction :P

Everyone has their own flavor. I think it would be great if Yu Jing would have their own cookbook thread. The vast number Asian dishes is enormous to choose from.

Certainly, Chinese and other Far Eastern cuisines are full of interesting recipes!

...however, the Bourak Cook Book thread does exist, while - to my knowledge - one following the delicacies of Shengtang-Yuatng does not. Quod erat demonstrandum...

What does that mean exactly? Don't remember hearing that phrase before.

It means something "demonstration" or by "demonstration"?

Often abbreviated as "QED", it translates (roughly) as "which was to be demonstrated" (or "proven").

I got it: Latin for "which was to be proved; which was to be demonstrated."

Ya I looked it up around the same time you posted.

As for the Hashashins what part of the above video was the most interesting to you?

Actually, placing them against the flow of events. I have known several of the facts mentioned in the video, but I think it is the first time I've seen them placed on the wider background and timeframe of events in the region.

I think CB missed out on an opportunity to include the remaining descendants that are in Portugal today. They could have been used to help restart the Haqqislam Hassassins since they are the inheritors of the Hashashin's ideals. Maybe the Old Mountain Man is one of these Portuguese Hashashins or a group of them relocated to the Haqqislam nation and embedded themselves into the Hassassins. While some of them stayed behind in Portugal and became PanO citizens instead.
