The newest article is up, this week I chose to focus on the different types of Murafeq Remotes in RTF! *Edit. Link added.
This week's article is now out, this time I'm looking at the Engineers available to RTF! I'm planning for something a bit different for next week, fingers crossed that I can get it done! *Edit. Link added.
Will you look at that; I managed to allow people to comment directly on my blog! The things one can learn... Please drop a comment on any of the articles if you've got something on your mind!
As promised; something different this week! This time around I'm delving into a mission that I had the pleasure of playing a couple of weeks ago, so check out my thoughts on the ITS12 Biotechvore!
I have decided to just relax and enjoy the holidays, so there won't be a blog post this week, and I'm not 100% sure on next week either! But fear not, I'll return to the normal weekly schedule after this; I'm already working on pieces about the Namurrs, the Zhayedans and why one should try out even the units/profiles that don't seem all that great on paper! Have a great holiday season everyone!
They most certainly are! They can have an entire list built around them, or one can just be thrown in to improve pretty much any strike team - I actually feel the same way about all of our supersoldiers! As to the favourite profle, I actually find myself using the Infiltating Boarding Shotgun Specialist Operative the most! He packs a nasty close range gun (with DMG 14 direct template available), D-Charges as an additional option for melee combat, he's a specialist, and he isn't vulnerable to hacking unlike the Killer Hacker version! He's been great at hunting other skirmishers and executing attacks of opportunity, while giving my lists some much needed midfield presence, plus he's real pain to get rid off! What do the rest of you think?
Not infiltrator, right? Actually i would prefer killer hacker parachutist for one reason. Marker state!
I love how both of you chose what i feel are the 2 best options. Infiltrate the non hacker and parachute in the hacker. Ive heard good things about the red fury, but i just feel like id rather use the swc elsewhere.
I've personally run the Red Fury quite many a time, and she's a great attack piece that can bully soft targets with burst 4 quite nicely! My main gripe with her is that she's not a specialist... I'm curious to know; what are you using all your SWC on in your lists? I find it that I end up with 2-3 SWC spent most of the time, and almost never more than 4 while playing RTF!
Huh, i havent played n4 yet (covid and work) but i just recreated one of my old lists in the new app and it dropped by a whole swc. Used to be 5.5 now 4.5, so maybe ill look into that nahab red fury when i get to play again.
Hear, hear! I've only gotten in three live games of N4, thank goodness for the TTS, eh? I too used to run 6 or almost 6 SWC lists in N3, but now that Panzerfaust Ghulams and Hakims are 0SWC (the former of which are now replacing Missile Launchers and Snipers in my Core team), I've never had to "shave off" any SWC when listbuilding, which has felt very freeing! :D
My experience with the red fury has been a bit different. At only BS 12, I often have soft targets take too many order to get through, while any real ARO piece is insurmountable without cybermadk. I do agree on the SWC point, though. I just dont see a Ramah list in N4 spending all 6.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! A tricky piece for sure, but in my experience also an immensely satisfying one, when you get him/her to work! :)
I'll admit that I haven't run the Namurr yet in N4, but you make some good points about all the E/M weapons they're packing. Ramah isn't exactly a dominant hacking faction, and the Namurr brings an interesting set of tools to deal with hard targets, both indirectly by immobilizing them or just blowing them up in CC.
