I kinda have the same question about Jaguars. Can I take two of them plus a Daktari as Haris? The way I see it this probably depends on "Special Fireteam: Haris" counting as the "Fireteam: Haris" skill since Massacre ( who has the Haris fireteam ability) would be replaced by the Dak. Has this been answered already? I looked through six or seven pages of rules sub and found nothing.
Combined order with Gecko/Lupe/Jaguar Panzerfausts. Sucker won't survive one of those making contact. Tomcat e/mitter, Hellcat ADHL and Tsyklon Feuerbach have potential as well. Reminder that Bandits do not because of Irregular.
What we really need now is more swc sinks. Hellcat with normal and/or smoke grenade launcher for 1. Something on a Tomcat more useful than a d.e.p (althou I got a free shot against a TAG with it the other day and of course I missed). Hackers that are more useful than they are vulnerable to KHD. Stuff like that.
I'm still running out of SWC on most of my lists. I'd agree that a Grenate Launcher Hellcat would be cool, but how do you keep your lists light on SWC?
2 Tsyklons and a Gecko. edit: adding nice tools behind swc would give troops like Geckos that don't cost much SWC a niche in the list. Right now they're taking too many points to spend the freed SWC on Intruders or Brigada so it's not that big of a feature.
Finally had a game where the Gecko didn't just die to the first 3 dtw hits she was the queen of the game. Lupe is doing very well thou and their duo is good for objective heavy missions.
I built a REM heavy list. Tsyklons really do open up a lot of SWC. But with an Alg Lt I don't feel like I'm swimming in it. Honestly I'd combine the DEP and Dep Repeater Tomcat into the same profile. It gives you backup options for when then DEP misses.
I'd love some more non-specialist loadout options on Tomcats. The new AD2 guys have been getting some cool stuff. It's also important to be able to build to counter a meta and I think Corregidor is falling behind with that.
What do you guys usually use to do mission with civ evacs / xenotech deployment needs like acquisition. A simple Jaguar to move up? Senor massacre solo?
Mobile Brigada is a good option for Aquisition, as is the Gecko. Both have a chance of surviving the final turn sitting on Suppression on the objective. Rescue I'm more in favour of Morans as the Syncing trooper. Xenotech babysitters I look at solo MB Lts, Daktari/Clockmakers or Morans. Another option I've seen to good effect is WarCor.
Thanks, good tips, the Warcor one is actually a good out of the box idea, I'll use that one day ;) I really need to get those geckos
I almost always have a Gecko and it's role is always to score points so that's what I'll typically use.
I just tried Lupe in a Wildcat Haris and I would really suggest it. The second Cat I just made another specialist. Smoke and 3 acceptable shooters, plus 3 DTW and 2 specialists. Good utility Haris for 0.5-1 SWC and a reasonable cost. The fact that they're all solid without the link bonus and that there's no weak point is nice.
I really like the ADHD profile, otherwise I feel Massacre Harris with Lupe is superior: faster, eclipse, breaker combi
Lupe's decent BS double burst Panzerfaust, Mimetism and dogged can really make some opponent plans come unstuck in an aggressive haris I've found. Plus the ability to push buttons makes her really good value now I think.
With the Wildcat formation you gain: A second specialist with two unique choices (engineer or hacker) A third DTW A third suppressive fire A third capable shooter D-charges Partially deploying with FD1 Veteran and MI (each required for some objectives) You gain a lot with the Massacre Haris but they are heavily in favor in offense/active/killing. That looks good when you're trying to think of an all-comers list but filling a niche for mission is a huge part of the game and I think the Wildcats are good at that. Either can take daktari but it adds a weak point and prevents you from using it as a Brigada filler for the Core. Still could be worth it if the mission gives bonuses to doctors. Yeah her only problem before was being stuck as alone (25% fail chance on that smoke) or stuck in a weak core. She is amazing now as a Duo or Haris gal.
She also suffered from being the cost of a Alg + Jaguar + WarCor. Whereas now she's the same cost as a Wildcat or a cheaper MB / Tsyklon in a 6-person Core.
I did manage to play an aggressive Core with Brigada MULTI, Tsyklon Spitfire, Lupe, Dak and a LGL Alguacil. I wouldn't normally however for Decapitation it filled my plan. It's useful having link flexibility for building for missions now.
